Title: John Tucker Must Die

Knaves - November 13, 2006 11:58 PM (GMT)
Ok, I watched this babysitting five small cousins (all girls, so it wasn't like I could get something classic, like BSG, although I did get them to watch ten minutes of Cool Hand Luke :D ) and three of their friends. The weird foreign films were out (no Im Juli for them no matter how I spun it) so they selected this one, per my recommendation. I snuck off later and got the screencaps for Nicki's brief moment. Which is actually completely out of place and weird.

My experience from this film is tainted. I found it rather enjoyable but then that was to a chorus of comments by 10-13 year old girls as they cheered, booed, and laughed as the entire film went on (the comments some of them made, the girls in the Film were practically angels about this stuff), but without their imput I probably would never have watched the entire thing. Not having owned a television since forever, I finally understand why one would watch a television show with friends or in a group it totally changes the experience, which is totally at odds with a theater experience. oh well enough rambling. Here is the second and a half Nicki is in the Film.

These are Totally Awesome! Umm I mean Totally John Tucker Must Die.
Anyway, thanks for the pics!

So I guess there's no point in renting or purchasing this DVD? We were under the impression that Nicki had a scene in a restaurant kissing the dude. So I guess that wasn't her?

Still nice to see Nicki "dolled up" and doing other things. :dancingbunny:

How 'bout this: Everytime somebody uses this phrase he has to donate one dollar to the Cally Henderson Fund for Cylon Orphans. ;)

The film isn't terrible, it is better than many of the teen/high school whatever type films I have seen. The flow is good, and the humor pretty decent for older and younger veiwers.

The scene from the trailer is one of the three lead 'girlfriends' out for revenge. The best parts about the film are the things the three vengence seeking girls come up with for revenge (like heavily dosing him on female hormones) and how they all backfire and make him more popular.

If you are renting for Nicki, she gets more overall time in Saved! but not the nice closeup. The film does have some merits though and I am not sorry for having watched it. One thing I noticed is that it has some good subtle whit hidden in amongst the obvious which helps it seem more intelligent. There is no real conflict or resolution or even bad guys, so...I say a very good family film.

Thanks Knaves. I actually purchased a used copy of Saved. Nicki is way in the background if I have the right film.

I gotta screen cap another movie she was in. Forget the name of it but have it stored on my hard drive....

Knaves, after just watching JTMD, I totally agree with your assessment and review. It is a decent film, with a surprising amount of "heart". Despite its title it is not a mean spirited comedy that is the norm now a days.

That said I am not sure who this film was marketed for? Filmed to be an "adult" comedy. ( We got girls lip locking here!) Yet really, its a fun revenge story with a moral ending for boys and girls.

Take out the "adult stuff" and it could have been a Nickelodeon kids special.
