click me :)

Aaron Douglas & Nicki Clyne show David Eick's Video Blog what goes into one effects shot.

That was priceless! Love how Nicki was "winding" her hands as they hoisted her up. (You know like a fish on a pole)

This video shows the charisma Nicki has on the set. She is so under used. -_-

Wow, that was a very nice video blog! They sure do look like they have fun, they don't fool me none. haha. wow. I loved it. I am so much more excited for this episode.

Yea, Solium, I saw that 'winding' as well, and people wonder why we like her so much.

I thought it was a very good video and seemed to show alot of Nicki's personality. The only problem I saw (other than the oxygen masks) was a comment from Aaron about the scene. He said "this is where the Chief and Cally die". :( I do hope that Aaron was just being sarcastic. The concern that I have about the oxygen masks is Nicki's safety and health of having a mask on without actual fresh air flowing into the mask, but that's a normal concert considering my occupation.

"We're not your puppets David!" :rofl2:

I liked Nicki's explanation of the wire set up, especially the fact that the people that she never met before were apparently supposed to be stand-ins for Lee and Kara. She seemed pretty amazed at how the the wires are placed in the studio. "And this green screen is supposed to be space, but you can't see that, cause its green!" I personally like actors who can do their own stunts, so Nicki and Aaron deserve some credit for being patient for hours on end, in order to be swung from one side of the stage to the other.

I don't think either Aaron or Nicki were in any particular danger though DC. Wire work is serious stuff, if you've seen the rigging used in like kung fu movies The Matrix or Crouching Tiger, they take every precaution to make sure the performers are safe. Usually rigging is tested by stuntmen before a major talent is ever placed in a harness. The props department probably made masks that would allow the actor's to deliver dialogue, so I doubt breathing and acting while harnessed would have been a problem either.

That was soo cool!

Sunday I'm going to be hypping NCFS more on other boards in my sig and such; Cally wasn't in this season that much, though of course, neiither were Galen or Racetrack, and on the whole I think Season 3 really suffered from the "Episodes are so long character pieces get cut" thing which is becoming a major problem.

Then again, season 2, Cally was really just in episodes 1-4, then popped back in again with great stuff in the season finale.

Now, we had Cally pretty extensively on the New Caprica arc, then falling into the backround. But we've got six (count 'em, 6) frakking episodes left, and it looks like the shift is about to come back to Cally.

Speaking of which...was there ever an episode before this weeks, that actually *focused* on Cally?

I mean she was "prominent" in a few, but even "Resistance" didn't focus entirely on Cally.

I think not only are we getting "Good Cally moments", but she's the A-plot for the first time.

yay...

I still have no idea what to expect in the next episode. But its cool that they are giving Cally some fun things to do. I am sure Aaron was joking when he said, "This is when we die", cause after all its a natural joke to make at that moment in time.

As far as how it plays on screen I am sure we are supposed to suspend our disbelief that a simple oxygen mask would protect them from the vastness of space. Course they would freeze in an instant. ( or boil I guess depending on the direction of the nearest star)

They always give us good Cally moments in the beginning and end of each season. Looks like Cally gets her come back once again.

Its a shame she is always playing the victim however. They can make it up to us by making her the one that finds Earth! :P

That was a Great Video Blog! Very Happy Nicki Gets some Blog Air time!

I wonder if that was the first time Nicki has done some "stunt" work in her career?

Funny Nicki setting up Aaron with the "two words" comment. Given Aaron's response...I think she knew he'd do it.

I thought he was talking about the scene instead of the stunt. I hope she does more of that type of video. She certainly looks like she enjoyed it.

Nicki has some time complaining with Leah Cairns in the latest of the video blogs "Where's David?". You can see her starting at 1:47 left. It is cool to see her with other actors instead of Aaron Douglas all the time.

Is there a link for us busy, (or lazy) people?

The cast enjoys poking fun at The Eick. :D Btw, this reminds me of my plan to ask Leah about that heating plaster.

@ Pedda- Thank you much! :D

I was thinking when Galactica finds Earth. I would like to see 1st contact much like the famous Roswell story with a Raptor carrying a team including the
Chief and Cally crash in the Western USA! :D
That would be interesting and feel they would be a great help to the
team there. Choice one of the main characters to be on the Raptor as well!
