Description: ...or make a comment

The Official Talk About Nicki's Blog Thread

I was just rereading Nicki's message and she wrote:

...encourage people to give feedback or ask questions.

(about her & her blog)

So there you have it! Feel free to ask Nicki a question here, and maybe she will read it and post a reply or make comments on her blog!

BTW, you can join and post comments on her blog. ...well except for me it wont work! :(

As you all know, there are no promises, warranties, or home baked corn muffins implied. I am sure her blog activities will depend on her free time and whimsical urges.

Solium - July 28, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
Since I cannot post on her blog, (talk'n to tech support over there as we speak)

Here’s my thoughts on some of Nicki's posts:

Saved: I'd never been to New Jersey before and I didn't really know what to expect

LOL, I got to laugh. Coming from New Jersey, and hearing every New Jersey joke since I left. No worries Nicki, New Jersey frightens everyone at first.

No but seriously:

Nicki demonstrates a deep sense of wonder and a mind that seriously evaluates her thoughts and feelings, as well as the thoughts and minds of others. I always enjoy her essays on life.

Attack of the killer:

Then there’s Nicki's brilliant sense of humor, dry, witty, smart. This girl is funny as frak!

The laws have changed:

Finally the story as it was meant to be told!

Riddle me this:

My answer: "Liar, which way to the village?" Now go the opposite direction....

The answer is: Ask one of them: "What would the other one say if I ask him for the way?" In both cases the answer would be the wrong way, so you just choose the other direction B)

Um... what's the matter with NJ? All I've "seen" of this State is Newark Airport, so I'm a little confused by your shameless in-joking, my dear friend!!

Nutt'n, is the matter with NJ. But it is the butt of every joke, in American comedies. :P

Hey wait! I birth from there! <_<

Just an update on my issues posting on Nicki's blog. (in case other ppl had issues as well) The folks that own the blog service were VERY helpful but could not figure out why I couldnt post. It was rather weird and confusing.

As a last resort I opened her blog in FireFox, (opposed to IE) and I was able to post a comment! I like the new featurs in IE but it has been a bit buggy.

ccat - August 5, 2007 12:32 PM (GMT)
really weird but it's good that you found out where the problem was :)

Lex - August 5, 2007 12:55 PM (GMT)
I know the problem: Microsoft Internet Explorer. <_<

Don't use it, everything will be fine with FireFox

Welcome back V. I think you will find Nicki to be a rather intelligent, thought provoking person.

Not to be really picky here, but Lex actually DID go bowling with Nicki, over a year ago, at the Battlestar Atlantia convention in Germany. (Pics are at the Wolf Germany web site, if you really want proof!)

Lex - September 19, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
To clear this one up: I was THERE, but I never touched a bowling ball. I just took some photos of her bowling and watched her balls the show :naughty:

Lex - September 19, 2007 08:57 PM (GMT)
Oh, THAT shot. It wasn't my fault! When I pressed the button, she was standing upright. Not my fault if she bends that quick. (I'm quite certain I could've rephrased that sentence...)

ccat - September 20, 2007 09:26 AM (GMT)
lol :P

sjorge - September 20, 2007 06:27 PM (GMT)
I'll hunt around on there... my german is awful but maybe It will make sense this time

Edit: nope couldn't make heads nor tails from it :(

*crosses finger that lex will post the link*

Lex - September 20, 2007 07:29 PM (GMT)
Here's the pic in question ;)

Well, I HAVE a link to that certain gallery. Problem is, the thumbnails are gone :( But the pics are still there

Your way would be "conventions" -> "Battlestar Atlantia" -> "Fotos"
Here's the link.

I'd recommend you use Firefox and this add-on to download all pics at once.

I think its a "German" Bowling Ball.

Lex - September 24, 2007 05:45 PM (GMT)
Jup, that's the German version of Bowling, called "Kegeln". The Balls are much smaller and there are no holes in it. And the track is smaller.

Pedda - September 24, 2007 08:53 PM (GMT)
Plus, there are only nine pins. Not as glamorous as ten-pin bowling in a ten-track hall with disco music, for sure, but it makes for a fun two hours nonetheless.

So one size fits all????

Lex - September 24, 2007 09:58 PM (GMT)
There are big balls and small balls. Don't worry, I won't go into details. :naughty:

I just found out that the english term for "Kegeln" is "Skittles". Here's the Wiki page

Lex - September 26, 2007 01:30 PM (GMT)
Well, it's YOUR word for it :P "Kegeln" sounds nothing like candy

Solium - September 26, 2007 08:01 PM (GMT)
My favorite German word is Diane Kruger . :P
