I was upset that ultimately.....there was no "plan" for Cally to do anything important to the plot in Season 3 at all. She just hung around in the background and drifted to relative obscurity (well, the Athena vs. Cally scene from TSAR got deleted, etc.)

Good catch with Cally, I missed it three times until I paused every other second. Yep with Baltars second, (or third) coming and Cally's feelings in the third season I think its easy to see who Cally will be following. :blink:

I'm intrigued by what you may have heard.

My speculation has always been that if Cally discovered what Tyrol actually is, she might go a bit... Medea, if you get the classical reference.

because if said spoilers are true.....it would just be character assassination on a grand scale.

Of course, if it's WELL SCRIPTED for once (season 3 wasn't well scripted at all; lots of last minute throwing out of finished but unusable scripts and hastily having to write new ones)....and actually gives Nicki SOMETHING NICE TO DO...once again, the complaints that Nicki either got NOTHING to do, or was shoved into very poorly written episodes (I just keep thinking back to the happy Season 2 times of "OMG, Cally is in this ep!").....but as the series is ending soon, I don't mind quite as much anymore, so long as her material is WRITTEN WELL.


By which I mean.....well you all know the complaints about Boomer? How she inexplicably turned into a babyneck snapper by "Rapture", and people said this made no sense? Well that was because all of the buildup scenes got cut......

Point is, I just want something really dramatic or well written.

And I hope Nicki gets another gig on another show or movie....

Well for one thing, these appear to be "good" Cylon's, so there is a distinction. Cally may scream and yell, then figure, ah, frak, if you can't beat them join them. Actually the fact she has a hybrid baby tells me her feelings about Cylon's will change.

that's what I was thinking too. She loves Nicky a lot ( as we can tell from her arguments with Galen over spending time with their son) , so the tide might change with her, so to speak, if she knew Nicky was the second human/cylon hybrid.
