Title: Met Nicki at Supanova...

Kable - October 15, 2007 03:42 AM (GMT)
While i only spoke to Nicki for a short time i would say that she is wounderful and talented person. I met her at Supanova (a scifi/anime convention here down under). Being a fan of her and BSG i was dumbfounded. Being that im very tall, she was interested how tall i am. She signed an autograph for me and well to say the least, it made my day.

Yeah, I'm happy learn we there's someone who'll tell us everything about her latest con. :D Except for the minor fact that I'm nearly as short as Nicki, my experience almost two years ago was very similar to yours. It's such an rewarding encounter.

Btw, how did you find this forum?

Oh, wanna see a picture? A moving picture? Glad you asked. Michelle just found a hilarious video, confirming once and for all that Nicki is the party queen.

I posted the video of Nicki answering the question on YouTube. I can't remember the exact phrasing of the question she was asked, but it was to do with how the show parallels real-world events/circumstances and what the reaction has been to that.

She also mentioned that she is planning to start an internet business with two of her friends (actresses from Smallville - I think she said Kristin and Alison). Another thing she spoke about was her admiration for Edward James Olmos and the choices that he has made in his career.

Because the third season still hasn't been released in Australia (hurry up November!) she was very careful not to spoil things. She was really lovely and it was an enjoyable Q&A session.

Here is a pic I took during the Q&A:

No S3 in down under? That sucks!

Maybe you'd like to get the british DVD-Set here?
I know, that's a differend regional code (Australia RC4, UK RC2), but those two a nearly the same. Nearly every Australian DVD works on European players, but I don't know if it works the other way around, too. To be on the safe side, you could google if your player can be switched to region 0 (free, plays everything). That can be easily done with a lot of players.

I loved her answer. "It's just a TV show, get real!" Ok, paraphrasing but I know she probably got that line from Aaron. :P

There was a funny thing that occured to myself before i met Nicki. When i went to get an autograph, you have a selection of asorted photos which you can choose to have signed. One or two of them had her with her baby from BSG series 3 on it (which i havent seen yet, goddammit!) and one of my mates viewing the photos while waiting for another actors photograph stated 'Hey she hot! And she's got a kid, that awesome!" turning to him i explained the pic and how it was part of the show and i had'nt seen it yet. He replied "Man that sucks...for you" i guess it just adds to the excitement of waitng for the box set to come out next month. :yahoo:

:rofl2: Thats a funny story!

One thing however, "kids" are usually the deal breaker not the deal maker.
