District 9 was good stuff.
The inhuman looking alien being the most sympathetic character was a good change of pace.
This movie also had the best use of Mecha in a live action movie so far.
Pickens seal of approval.

District 9 is some damn good sci-fi. Between this and Moon it's been a great year for the genre.

How have I not even heard of it then...
I might go see it in theatres if some cash frees up, till then all I see is some terrible TS copies on some "sites I frequent".

From what I've heard, Moon was pretty good and creative. But not truly great.
That's what I felt about District 9. But by far not a bad movie at all. Can't wait to own it on DVD.
