my vote also goes for ikki (chelas) he is the only saint in the 88 constelations that can rebirth by himself..even Shaka himself said it...it's an awesome ability ^^ not only that, but each time he rebirths, he get more powerful, so no one can stop him...besides he, as achilles said, has an awesome mental ability (like saga or shaka) and powerful techniques too ^^

i would had vote for Aioros, cause he is loyal, and im Sagitarius too (chelas) but i didn't because he died in before the whole saint seiya serie!!! XD so i can't have an opinion about a guy i don't know how much powerful is..

You should read Episode G and find out a lil bit more about the power of Aioros. He has some awesome battles there

I think Shion and Dohko might have bin the first to reach the 8 sense, also Orphree is fighting in Hades realm with his actual body and using his ability at max (and not hindered by the 1/10 rule).

So although thier is not enough a direct statement, thier is enough evidence that points out Orphree reached the 8th sense.

Shaka - is the embodiment of defense, and indirect attack. Tenbu Horin!!! The man closest to God!!

Aioros - is the embodiment of pure offense (from what we know) Infinity Break is truly powerful. Arrow of Justice is stronger then Dohko's 12 weapons!!!! The Saint who was truly appointed to be next Pope (Shions final decision). And His power was said to equal the Gods.

Saga - The balance among the two with offensive and defensive attacks. Self proclaimed Pope. Diverse in everyway. Said to be a God reincarnated. Cronos states he is the chosen "God Slayer".

Rank 3 (High Mid)
Canon - Weaker then Saga, yet he knows nearly all the techniques Saga has. (Well balance)

Mu. - Shion apprentice knows nearly everything Shoin knows (well balance)

Camus - Master Of Ice, respected by all. Known to keep his cool at all times. (Well balance)

Rank 4 (Low Mid)
Leo - pure offensive needs defensive and in-direct attacks to be considered a higher rank.

Milo - Scarlet Needle can be vary diverse, but one technique makes him only lower mid tier needs more balance of techniques.

Shura - Pure offensive, needs defensive and in-direct attacks.


Rank 5 (Low)

Death Mask - needs more techniques to be more balance.

Aphrodite - some what balance but to many moments bad moments make him a weak character.

Aldebaran - 1 technique he needs more techniques, he Saint Seiya’s whipping dog (he losses to everyone !!!)[B]

in my opinion I think it's shaka , he's not only strong and have a great defense, he's only the most intelligent !

I change my answer, after all, saga killed the pope, so he's #1 on my list now.

but Saga was able to kill the pope because the pope was old as hell. Just remeber the power diference that Shion and the old Dohko has when they battle in the Hades Chapter. Shion was kicking his ass cuz Dohko was old and weak. However, when Dohko got his youth again, his power increased and was as powerfull as Shion.

The same happened with Saga and Shion. If Saga fights against the 18-year-old Shion, Shion will kill Saga.

well you gotta understand that lemurians also age slower that humans.

The most powerful saint is Sagitarius Aiolos, but the other saints are strong too, hell, i cant resist it, here goes my ranking

1.-Aiolos
2.-Dohko(experience and devastating offensive power)
3.-Saga/shaka/Aioria
Saga has experience and offensive power but not quite as much as Dohko
Shaka is waaaaaay overrated just because he has ten bu horin, but againsta gold saint or the strong bronze saints, it only gives him advantage its not a mortal attack, besides he doesnt have a direct strong offensive attack.
Aioria is the most underrated fighter, but thats just cuz everyone hates him for being the principal character in episode g, he has amazing destructive power, and though he is reckless and unexperienced, he also has the greatest fighting spirit maybe only surpassed by seiya's.
4.-Mu. he has strong special attacks both directly and indirectly and he also has a great defensive technique
5.Camus is the master when it comes to freeze, he is mature and has good offensive attacks and also can use his freezing cold to defend himself as pictured in his fight with oceano.
6.-Aldebaran also has a very powerful offensive attack, though e's not the most brilliant person
7.Shura/Miro
Shura has a very ineffective attack against opponents with gold clothes (or above), though the new variants of Excalibur(dancing excalibur (as) , and X calibur (as)(well something like that when he fights krios)) )proved to be a little more useful, well dancing excalibur not so much but at least it looks cool
Miro has a somewhat powerful attack (as) , that can really come in handy if he fires his 15 scarlett needles at once as in his fight against Hector.
8.Aphrodite His techniques are poor but at least he is intelligent (bub) (qw)
9.Deathmask is a living joke

other saints:

ikki and seiya. ill put them at number 3 with shaka aioria and saga
shiryu and hyoga. ill put them at the same level of Camus
shun is at best as good as Aphrodite (cris)
Kanon is between Camus and Mu

Besides in an interview, Kurumada states, that the outcome of Saga vs Shion would have bin diffrent if, Shion was at his Prime.

Further more he adds only Dohko rivals Shion.

I think Dohko would Beat Shion if Shion ever decided to in close range combat.

But Shion would dominate Dohko in mid range.

most powerful saints? if we focus first on the gold saints we have 4 groups:

1- Shaka, Dokho, Shion (DK)
2-Saga, Kanon, Aioria, Aioros, Mu (aiolia)
3-Milo, Camus, Shura (milo)
4-Aldebaran, Deathmask, Afrodite. (DM)

if Ikki can be added in this list, he should be in group 2, he's got tremendous power for a bronze saint, he is the first in history to wear the phoenix cloth anyway.
