Well, I wanted to put my small contribution to this brand new section of SSYE, and what better way to start than to talk about a character who we all know and love: Chuchin!. As one of the reasons why this forum exists, Chuchin is very important to us all, and this is enhanced by the fact that nearly all of us have had a certain experience with him at some point in time. Therefore, it would be great to share those experiences, and to do it in his favorite language of the whole wide world: English!

I have personally dealt with him for some time, and I have had many encounters with him, many of them not very relevant, but some of note. However, I would like to see what you guys come up with first so I can contribute with an astonishing tale of my own that concurs with yours all.

Jesus is definitely NOT one of the reasons this board came to life. Although his mere existence is maybe the primary cause of the massive migrations we've had (let us thank him for that).

To tell the truth I only argued with him a couple of times, and given the fact he was (and still is) worth nothing of my time, I only quoted him one or twice before leaving him talking the huge ammount of bs that was, as usual, the only thing possible to ever leave his mouth.

OK, I didn't understand a single word of what you just said, but that's not unusual XDD. I was saying that this forum exists as it is today in part thanks to Chuchin's endeavors and personality, just like Juni said, but that doesn't mean that he deserves our admiration for it, although the kind of blind belief on his truths and point of view that he often displays is something that awes people, including me.

For instance, one of his greatest moments of all time came during this summer's World Cup, in a event I'd like to call "3rd-World-Gate." During a heated debate around the merits nationalized players have in their adopted homeland's national team, Chuchin famously stated, among other things, that such players have no place whatsoever inside said teams, as they are not truly representative of the respective countries, and they stain the real brand of playing that real nationals should have. In addition, he revealed his outrage at how many black players are currently in France's and England's (I think) national teams, and how the possibility that "his national team" of Germany could be next made him nauseous. I personally find those statements pretty remarkable, as each of those countries have welcomed, or at least officially, immigration from all parts of the world, and currently Europe is as diverse as the United States, and it's only logical than in athletic representations of those countries, such diversity would be seen.

Now, the real controversy started after Germany was knocked off the World Cup. Of course, as anyone would be, he was saddened because of the elimination of his team, and perhaps bittered due to the fact that many of his "rivals" favored teams that made it further than his. This was made worse after people in the forum started "heckling" him due to Germany's elimination. This is nothing strange or new, as that always happens to anyone that places their preferences on a team so publicly and fervently as Chuchin did. But the strange is how he reacted to this "heckling." One would expect composure and maturity from someone in his position, but, in a move completely opposite to this, he attacked almost 60-75% of his whole audience by saying that no matter if Germany won or lost in these circumstances, the Mannschaft and, in fact, the entire country and people was "a lot better than your scummy Third World countries."

As one would expect, this ignited instant outrage and heated reactions from everyone that took insult from such a statement, and the great majority of those people ended up leaving the forum altogether, not without leaving their opinions widely voiced, but which were swiftly censored. Hence, these people were looking for a new place to go that still felt a bit familiar, and many of them found a new home here. There were other people that were "ousted" from the forum before this whole deal blew up, but the ones that left after that constitute most of the ex-SNK population of today.
