Do you often wonder what others would think of you if you wrote poetry? The nervousness of letting someone see those words that you wrote for that first love? The poem you wrote for your friend when her mom died.? Well i have poems that i want to put in collection and sell ..Can someone help me with this ?

Sorry I can't help. I have written poetry but it was so long ago. I think somewhere down the line, I've lost my appreciation for it. Either that, or more likely, I don't understand the "rules" of it. I know what I like when I read it but to critique it, I'm no good.
I hope some of our other poetry writers will step in here and give wintersangel a hand.
Sassy.

I write poetry occasionally when the mood strikes...I did it a lot more in my teenage "angst" years but now just every once and awhile. You can get critiques in many places on the net...just do a google search on "poetry critiques". Some of those sites will also point you in the direction of self publishing. Self publishing will get your works in print but very few ever sell to other persons.

I found that Gather.com is a great place to get serious and sound critique of poetry. Most, there are jerks in evry bunch, people will be honest without being harsh. If you would like to know more I'd be happy to help... :D
