Since we are going to be faced with concert and cellcert withdrawal, we thought it would be a great time for the Soul Patrol to look back over Taylor's first tour and see if we could highlight some favorite moments.

Please join us in our Take 2 Look Back at our concert experiences. Each week we will select one song that Taylor performed on tour and post videos of 3 different performances of that song to watch and discuss. As a little something extra, we will be posting an MP3 download of a live performance from one of the venues featured. Please share your memories of hearing this song live, from a cellcert, which of the 3 versions we've chosen you like best and why, any special memories you have of the song. We'd also love to hear your opinions on why you think Taylor chose this song as part of his tour.

If you have a favorite performance of this song we didn't choose, PLEASE share that video with us and let us know why it's your favorite. We'd love to see pictures these 3 performances make you think of too.

Taylor may be out of sight for a while working his creative genius, but he won't be far away or really gone. After all, his talent is definitely a LONG TRAIN RUNNIN!

GREAT idea Gypsee!! This is just what the doctor ordered!

I also want to add that you will see no credit name by the embedded video. This is because the videos already have their credits on the server and can be found there. Our main purpose is to enjoy and discuss the performances, which is why a group thanks is given here. So thanks again everyone!

Great Idea Gypsee. There has been so much media since February that I don't think I had the chance to see it all. This is a way of catching some that might have been missed.

I agree 100%! Fabulous idea! My head has been swimming with trying to catch up on all that is available to us here, so this gives me another chance to rewind & catch it on my second time through. :cheer

Agree with everyone....this is a fantastic idea. I just happened to pop in here tonight and found this. I'll certainly be back for the next round. It's really nice to compare performances "side by side" so to speak, and especially nice as Taylor never duplicates any performance!

That is a fabulous idea. I especially am fond of the performance he gave at Jones Beach, opening for Earth Wind and Fire. I actually got to meet him after admiring him and his music for over 2 years. He is a delightful man and so gracious. He has come such a long way since American Idol that is for sure and I cannot wait for his new material.

Gosh thank you, cydter! This is evancol's original idea and we have worked on a format for it for a while now, and am so glad to put it into play :)

Hey there. Are we not getting any more videos? The last one was Lowdown on Nov 12. I really enjoy the discussions, and hope you're going to post some more.

Yes we are definitely doing them, but this is a holiday week and I am sure evancol was wrapped up in that. Check more toward the weekend or perhaps Sunday. We enjoy this too much to stop...:)

I really really enjoyed the discussion here, and I'm sad that it looks like this has gone the way of the dodo....extinct. Any chance of reviving this again sometime soon?

I am hoping for that, but since this was evancol's project and not mine, we have to wait for her to revive it, if she is going to. It is a great thread!
