Title: Aurora Dex Help!

Hiddenzbu - May 28, 2008 10:43 PM (GMT)
Ok I really wanna get started on coding the Aurora Dex for the site but I'm stuck between 2 routes:

1) simply convert all the BB codes into html tags

or

2) go the extra mile and try to figure out how to add table's like serebii. It would take a lot longer but it would look a lot nicer in the end

I can code one page to show you how to do the tables and you can build off of that...

I'd go CRAZY if I did all 493 pages. x__x

But yes, tables would be a lot better.

w8 considering you have the whole dex on a single word document... you could do it all yourself...

oh and find and replace is a button on notepad (html writer's best friend), microsft word, and a few other programs. it lets you enter some text (like a bb code) and it finds the next time that text appears and replaces it with what you entered in the second box. of course you'd still have to manually enter some stuff yourself but that should be good for replacing most of the BB codes in the dex.

note: this is microsoft works the cheap counterpart of microsft office

lol that should totally be a tutorial. The only problem is that i don't have the Aurora Dex on a word document anymore. I lost my flash drive it was on at school one day. I have the FRLGRSE dex..but we don't want that one lol. But i can still do it by myself, it will just take longer.

Now the whole thing about the tables, anyone?

*BUMP*

No one? Ok, well i guess I'll start working on it WITHOUT tables and then if we want to have tables we'll have to add them in or remake the whole thing or something. But i have a lot of time to fill and nothing to do so i want to be working on something

I'm working on building the Dex structure, Hidden. You can just alter the information for more pages.

http://auroragate.awardspace.com/index2.html?page=dex/038

It's in progress, so yeah, it's not finished yet. Let me know if you think something needs changing!

Well by the gender ratio can we add egg steps and egg groups? (basically if u can try to have what its my dex and anything else u think we need)

it looks great tho.

EDIT: o and please pm the "code" or whatever when your done and I can take care of the rest of them

*BUMP*

sorry to bother u again coji, but did u say the dex template would be done?

Cojirou - June 15, 2008 01:49 AM (GMT)
Well, I haven't worked on it this week (I know I said it'd be done last Monday, but things came up and I wasn't able to work on it)

I'll try to have it done soon. I'm really not on the computer as much as I was when school was in, but I'll try my best~

Hiddenzbu - June 15, 2008 10:13 PM (GMT)
Its okay, i was just going off what you told me before. Just do it whenver u get time

Cojirou - June 16, 2008 06:34 PM (GMT)
I'm almost done, actually. I just have to finish putting information about learned moves and base stats and I'll be done.

Take a look at it! It's coming along pretty good.

Hiddenzbu - June 21, 2008 02:55 PM (GMT)
THATS AWESOME!!! lol Please tell me when its done so i can start working on it!

Cojirou - June 21, 2008 06:31 PM (GMT)
It's done. You already saw my thread; all we need now is people to code the information in.
