Title: Savage 340E .222

I just settled in a trade for a Savage 340E .222

I'd been wanting a .222 for years and finally found what I feel to be a decent deal. I traded 2 of my .22's for it and 75 rounds of ammunition. Does anyone know anything about this particular round? Has anyone taken any time to hunt with one or am I gonna be the guinea pig? I'm a lil excited to be getting it but need to check to see what the shipping is gonna be before I make the final decision. Man I hope this works out because I've been Jonesing for one of these for years and as hard as it might be to believe, I wanted it in the Savage 340 so I'd have a match to my bolt action .30-30

I have owned one 222 and a couple of friends have had them about the only difference i have saw in them and a 223 is the shells are higher and you cant get the cheap military ammo for them but its like shooting a 223, as far as the shipping they will eat you up it starts out now at i think $ 5.50 for something that weighs a few ounces ... Dimpsy ...

You talking about shipping ammo or the gun?

If you ship the guns ... Dimpsy ...

I checked into the shipping. It's gonna cost me about $30.00 to ship it Priority and $20.00 for the FFL. He's sending the gun, 75 rounds of ammo, and $50. I think it's fair considering what he's getting in return.
