Dorn; the Victorians folded Saturnalia into the British Christmas.
Many of our modern Xmas traditions come from Saturnalia, here in the UK.

For example, Panto. Pantomime, it's proper name, has some reversal of roles namely the Principal Boy and the Dame.

Saturnalia is also why we traditionally put a Sixpence in the Christmas Pudding.
Though a lot of Saturnalian traditions have fallen out of use.

Merry Christmas to all, I'm finally feeling festive (seems to get later every year...!)

I went out with some old shcool friends last night, got back in freezing cold at 2:30am and did the voting thread, so if there are any mistakes you can blame Mr Jack Daniels!

I'm just waiting for the rest of the family to arrive before we tuck into a splendid Xmas brunch, then get started on the pressies. Hope you're all having fun!
