Yeah, I finally decided that I'm going to give my Truescale DG a knock in the face and convert and paint them up as Night Lords. I already finished building 2 10man squads of Marines, a Cybot and 2 raptors, and I ordered the model that I will base my Night Haunter model on.
Anyway, on to the list:
HQ:
Night Haunter
Demonprince: Warptime, Wings, Mark of Tzeentch
Elites:
Ancient Coreol
Dreadnought: Extra Armour, synch. Heavy Bolter, Heavy Flamer
Troops:
Squad Krieg
10 Marines incl. 1 Aspiring Champion with Butterknife, 2 Meltaguns
Squad Lydes
10 Marines incl. 1 Aspiring Champion with Butterknife, 2 Meltaguns
Squad Jirian
10 Marines incl. 1 Aspiring Champion with Butterknife, 2 Meltaguns
Fast Attack
Raptorcult Gise
20 Raptors incl. 1 Aspiring Champion with Butterknife and Meltabombs, 1 Flamer, 1 Meltagun
Raptorcult Zehaan
10 Raptors incl. 1 Aspiring Champion with Butterknife and Meltabombs, 1 Flamer, 1 Meltagun
Heavy Support:
Mobile Despoiler Squad Panton
8 Havocs with 4 Plasmaguns + Rhino with Extra Armour, Bulldozerblade and Missile Launcher
This army leaves me at 3 scoring units and the hardest hitting unit ever: 20 Raptors.
I think it is pretty mobile and still not easy to crack open.
When played right I guess it could handle tanks as well as horde armies.
What do you think ?
not too bad.
i like the represntation of a Primarch as a DP.
the things that don't fit (because of the rules)
are the Dreadnought; i can see where you're going, but if you trying to pre-Heresy this, then you could argue against Dreadnoughts that go nuts.
however, seeing as this is the Night Lords, a Legion that recruited murderers, rapists, and thugs, it makes sense to have someone homocidal maniac incarcerated in a sarcophagus.
the Raptors need to have two flamers or two meltas, not mix and matched. perhaps one squad w/meltas and the to other w/flamers.
that's all i got...good huting.
