Hey all,

Did Imperial Knights fight by themselves or with Titans?

I want to write a fan-fic about a Knight and need to know that.

Would Knights have Skitarii or other Imperial Army/Guard forces to protect their legs, like Titans?

Lastly, how tall are Knights?

I'd recommend Mechanicum for you sir.

1stly, they aren't Imperial-owned, they are Ad-Mech knights, but they did fight alongside Imperial Forces early in the crusade. For example one squad fought alongside Vulkan and the Salamanders.

There is no evidence of them fighting alongside Titans, as many of the Knight Orders have feuds with the Titan Orders, especially since it's because of the Titans that the Knights were pulled from active duty in the Great Crusade (the SM legions preferred the firepower and incredible strength that the Titans offered).

Knights fight in squadrons, which have been mentioned as groups of 3. No word as to whether they fight with Skitarri, but they assuredly fight with Protectors that are part of their Knight Order. It depends what the Knight Order has at their disposal.

If a knight was fighting in the field in the early days of the Great Crusade, I'm sure he'd have Imperial Army forces and Space Marines fighting with him, but it's not as if the two are linked by more than similar theaters of war.

As for height, I'm near positive that it's mentioned in Mechanicum, but off the top of my head I'd say 15-20 feet tall.

I've actually already read Mechanicum....I own it.

Well, this would probably be at the very last years of the Crusade right before/during the Heresy.

I know. Actually, I'm having a re-read through it, so I can get some more information on the Knights.
