Title: My Magnus Opus

in this new blog i want to show the progress of my ultimate collecting and painting goal, a representation of all the legions and their primarchs.
i want my primarchs to be escorted by at least one squad of astartes, and more when i particularly like them (like my Sons of Horsus, which are slowly growing to be a small force by now)
Blood Angels
Consisting so far of Sanguinius and one tac squad, with a dreadnought as WIP (which he has been for the last 8 years i'm afraid)
Sons of Horus (of course also featured in my SOH blog http://z15.invisionfree.com/The_Great_Crus...?showtopic=1992 )
so far finished: Horus, one tac squad, Abaddon, a dreadnought and a terminator lord (my former Horus). Underway are a five man terminator squad and a rhino (which are almost finished) , a droppod (assembled), an assault squad and 3 bikes (in box)
Ultramarines (so far primarchless, so they are temporarely adopted by big daddy emperor, who is himself at the moment custodesless)
perhaps this force will grow some day because this is the army i'm painting up with my son, who likes the blue ones best)
Death Guard
so far just one test model finished (minus backpack) and a death Knight waiting to get painted
Emperors Children
So far also just one test model finished, but with the phoenix knight undercoated and five terminators assembled
Furthermore i have the odin knight assembled and partially painted with two giant wolves added, but for his escort i'm awaiting the new spacewolves first, and the scarab knight who is so far only partially assembled. I bet reading prospero burns will get me fired up to paint these two forces come autumn :lol:
I get easily bored when having to paint large quantities of the same, so my plan is to paint up small additions to the different forces at the time, thus keeping my enthusiasm and getting lots of marines finished in the proces as well (i hope). I have some marines underway and a set of maxmini heads for the PH flavor (and tons and tons of other unfinished stuff lying around), so i'm ready for this megaproject!
