i want to start a luna wolves army slowly, since i have a nid army and working on a necron army. but what i was wondering was which codex i should use for luna wolves. i like the numbers and upgrades that csm have but the characters for sm would really make it easier to create Horus.

if someone cld help that wld be great. i was thinking about using calgar, but i havent finished horus rising, and all i know horus has is a storm bolter, i just started part 2, soo if you wouldnt mind leaving out as much content from the book in helping me find a way to create horus that would be great

i also have a random question, how do you guys make those special signatures??

Well, Codex Space Marines would be the way to go, since they were still loyal when they were Luna Wolves. Magnus Calgar is what I'm going to use to represent Ferrus Manus once I complete him. What you could do, is make Horus's weapon a counts as Calgar's CC weapon.

As for the signature, go up to where it says My Controls. Just above the Avatar selection, is My signature. If you meant custom signatures, then I can't help you there.

My usual advice is for people to use Codex SM and make their Primarch from the basic Chapter Master rules... you can come up with some amazing characters from that! I'm using Captain Lysander for Perturabo at the moment, though... :D

ok cool, thanks alot, ill take a look at the pdf i have of the sm codex to see wht i can come up with, ill make 2 lists 1 using chaos the other with sm codex, and see which i like better. although i do like calgar lol, and some other ones are pretty nice too, its hard to choose for me im like 0_0 why dont nids get this sh**

Pitting the space marine codex against the chaos one, there is only going to be one outcome if you want to create anything like a resemblance of the Luna Wolves.

I can also guarantee which of those codecies you are going to get bored with a year down the line when you are messing with army lists (hint: it wont be the space marine one)
