Title: Pig Iron
Description: Useful Bitz for Imperial Army Converting

Vredesbyrd - February 3, 2008 06:24 PM (GMT)
The guys over at Pig Iron Productions make resin miniatures and components for converting standard figures.

Some of the heads will fit Marines but the vast majority are better suited to Imperial Guard/Imperial Army models.

These guys are great value for money (20 heads for £3.00/$6.00 US approx) and they're good well sculpted pieces.

Check them out here.

Yeah, ive seen those, I love the helms with the breathers and no visors, they look sick. I'm considering buying some for a city-themed guard army.

I ordered some of the Rebel and Militia heads recently from an online games retailer, and plan to use them in my traitor guard army. The order's taking longer than expected (the Militia heads were out of stock, so they had to order more for me), but I'll post some pics once I have a few attached and painted up on my Khornate guardsmen.

I got some of the FW Guard heads to use for Skitarii but wish I'd seen these first--much cheaper!

Can't wait for pics, hurry! :)

Awesome - has anyone actually used them with Cadians etc? I'll definitely be tempted if they look good...

DarkMythology - February 13, 2008 03:10 AM (GMT)
I ordered 8 packages (160 heads) so I hope they look good on Cadians. I just wish the backordered sprues would come in so my order would ship. I'm running out of things to work on that don't involve heads...

Post pictures when you have them! :)

Any progress on these? I'm keen to see how the heads look. :)

I'm rather interested too, it's hard to get an idea of scale if they're not mounted on a body...

Titus Pullo received his order from Pig Iron on Saturday so I hope to get my hands on the spares soon! :D

I've been reading The Siege of Vraks this week. Now I really want to make a Krieg army...

The question is though Shroud - are you going to get them from Forgeworld, spending a fortune and waiting forever for them to arrive, but getting stunningly beautiful miniatures, or are you going to wait to see what the fabled plastic Great Coat Guardsmen look like, if they ever do exist?

ShroudFilm - February 25, 2008 07:57 PM (GMT)
With a what-now? Huzzah for plastics! Good old Workshop... :D

If these and the Drop Pods turn out to be real, I'll be forever glad that the Forgeworld chap left GenCon early before I could place my 600 quid order!

Got my order in the mail today. I ordered a mix of the Rebel heads, and the MIlitia heads. I replaced a guard squad's heads with the Rebel heads just now, and took one of my usual poor quality cellphone pictures just to show off scale. In my opinion, the scale looks ok, though some of the more bare heads would look more at home on marines in some cases.

Fresh from Bell Of Lost Soul's Rumour Mill.

Which has coincidentally taken the place of Rumour Hotspot from Warseer in many hobbyists hearts.

Just think, now you no longer need to sell family members into slavery for a greatcoat toting Guard army.

wow....to late for my mom ;)

these look really good....the wardriod for a squat dread perhaps...

Warseer's rumour page, which I bookmarked, has had Snorri Nosebiter and the Vindicator on it for absolutely ages... They're slipping... BOLS all the way!
