I would try the GW method of using a Black Templar front torso and a termie back.
You see it alot with the Belial conversions.
You may also want to consider getting fine scale modeler chain and instead of the leather tassles that hang off the shoulderguards you can make em out of chain kind of like what I did here

Very nice, BigWill. Chaos torso..... hm, that´s also an option. The Black Templar torso is also an option. Thanks, Brother.

I think Ron at ++From the Warp++ does it best:
Pre-Heresy Terminator TutorialRon uses bare heads in his, but if you use
this method of chopping up terminator heads, then remove the jutting jaw and cut away most of the back of the head, then you can slot the helmets into the collars:

Thanks a lot, Itkovian. The first Tutorial is very helpful. The one for the helmet i had known already.

Wow! Really impressive Terminators, and Salamanders to!
Of course this does mean the rest of your army will have to be up to the same standard :P

Might I ask why you've used Tyranid skulls, sorry, unconverted tyranid skulls on your banner?
ahriman - August 23, 2009 09:33 PM (GMT)
Out of interest how have you done the heads and bodies of your terminators???
ShroudFilm - August 23, 2009 09:44 PM (GMT)
The tabarded bodies look like BT upgrade sprue bits, and the Termie helmets look like the wedge-shaped cataphractii conversions in the Tutorials section... right?

Cause they are genestealer skulls. That´s trophies from the fight against the ´stealers of the Monolith of Ymgarl. Those badboys are not for a pre-heresy army. They are the bodyguard the the actual Chapter Master. They wear the armours of the few survivors of the Dropside Massaker.
And yes, Shroudfilm got it right. That´s BT bodies and for the helmets i used the tutorial from the tutorial section.

Really like how coherent and themed the group looks as a whole. Great converting there.
horusundivided - August 24, 2009 03:04 PM (GMT)
I sooo like the robed terminator idea, it's so simple yet so effective! especially the neckarmour combined with the converted helmets looks very cool. i'll definately use this idea for my upcoming PH dark angels!

I kinda figured it would be a current 40k army since the Chapter masters name is
Tu'shan, and that's the current one in charge of the Sallies nowadays, plus he also
was in the 3 war for Armegeddon.
