Title: A Fond Farewell
Description: at least from the hobby...

Kharn - August 6, 2009 09:09 AM (GMT)
Well, the day has come... :(

Unfortunately due to a move, limited space at the new locales, and even more importantly limited time, I will be taking a break from the hobby, including all painting, converting, ect (except for the occasional nibble of green stuff. I can't go too long without going Green)

However, I will still try my best to be an active member of this forum and support the hobby to the best of my abilities.

Hope everyone is well! B)

Fare thee well.

Having tried and failed to kick the habit for over 20 years now though, I suspect that you'll be back ;)

I thought I had escaped in 1998... but I was back by 2002... :D

Take the time you need to devote to other things, and the hobby will always be waiting for you. Once you have acrylic paint in the blood, you're on it for life!

Hell my break was from 1992 to 2005, pretty much my 20's
It's ahobby after all.
If I were you I'd box up my stuff rather than sell it all.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I plan to box most of it but I want to try and sell a couple pieces, if anyone would buy them.

That line conjured up the image of a guy in a raincoat sidling up to Kharn and after looking about saying quietly "D'ya wanna to see the new GW suff?"

Go off and have a life Kharn.
If you're ready to return at some future date, the hobby will be here waiting for you.

Enjoy your OoHE (Out of Hobby Experience),

I'm sure once you decide to return, you will discover a renewed passion for painting & modelling.

As someone else's quote comes to mind.
Just When I thought I was out, they dragged me back in! ;)

As others have said, definately keep as much stuff as you can. When (if?) you get a chance to come back to the hobby (and hopefully you will cause it sounds like you have a passion for it!) then you'll save a shed load of money!
