I though that i might get my blog started, because of the new competition, i am currently finishing my CSM Warriors of Mayhem force.

I haven't really started working on the TS army that i'm planning on making, because i wanted a functional army before i went into the heavy conversions of the PH Era, but i have made progress on my TS Assault Squad for the comp (though i may make a Termie squad with Phosis T'Kor leading it)

I will have pics of the Assault Squad by next week (going to a different city for the rest of the week, but i may be able to use a computer), but for now, these:

Awesome stuff, I love the anti-emporer'r champion model thats a great idea! (and you have got a very effective pose with him as well)

I also approve of your idea to get a playable army finished first (its quite hard to get a balance some time) and also your work area which looks like a bomb has hit it :)

Thanks, i plan on adding a BUNCH of rubble around the Dread's body, and maybe adding a few random marine bits, i'm alos thinking about scratch-building a PH TS legion symbol on to the dread, but i then again i might not

I just got a Thunderfire Cannon with the Tech-Marine, and i also got an Assault squad, and got a game called Setttlers of Catan

Ok, Chaos Marines I can just about handle... but what the heck does Settlers of Catan have to do with PH modelling?! :lol:

Don't let playing that AWESOME game interfere with your squad idea though - Mhotep in particular is looking amazing.

Dont worry Shroud, the game wont mess me up, im just not at my house for few more days, and i dont have any of my models except for the Techy and the Assault squad.

Have you played any of the exspansions for Settlers of Catan, like Seafarers or Cities and knights?

I'm gonna do a bit more work on Mhotep, also i might make a termi version of him, im also going to make Phosis T'Kar in power armor and another version in termi armor.

A Thunderfire cannon? Very interesting. I'm seriously considering one for my Alphas, they could do with some heavy firepower, besides it's a sexed-up thudd gun, so why not? :)

The Sons are looking good so far, hope to see some paint on them soon.

As for Settlers, once you play with C&K, you never go back! The ship expansion is a nice after thought for larger games.

I remember a number of years ago a group of friends and I got addicted to that game (and bakewell tarts)... I had to retrain myself how to hold a paint brush afterwards! :o

i'll be getting paint on them soon, because my assault marines are for the comp, so whenever i have the chance, i will get some paint on them.

As for Settlers, i love the game, its a nice break from the blood, gore, and death of the 30/40 Millenia.

And the thunderfire, yeah man go for it

EDIT: oh yeah, i forgot, i love your Alphas, i think that a Thunderfire would be a nice addition for them.

i will start on my final assault marine when i get back home, and do all the fiddly bits on the others (i.e. Scarabs, tabards, maybe even some homemade seals) and when i'm done with that, i'll start painting.

When my bro bought Catan, the store that we were in had a squad of Salamanders, THEY WERE AMAZING!!!!!!! And the cashier in the store told me that the squad was part of the persons FIRST army! Isn't that CRAZY?!?!?!?!?

Also, i was thinking of pooling cash with my bro, who bought Catan, and get the normal exspansion, and C&K, and Seafarers, but he didn't want to. :(

I has a question, how in the world do you get the Thousand Sons ear-thingys on the terminator torsos? Also, what do i use for the barrel shoulders? I know, I know, thats been asked about a million times, but i just can't seem to find a thread with the directions in it.

You'd have to either cut the pharaoh head dresses from regular TS minis, or make them from plasticard... OR you could just... not! :D Remember that only Ahriman's retinue had the Egyptian head dresses PRE-Heresy. You could make do with some of the spankier Chaos SM Champion heads, who have big horns etc.

C&K is almost mandatory for a good game of Settlers, once you learn the basic rules well enough. Don't bother with the 5-6 player expansions unless you plan to play 5-6 players regularly. Seafarers I can take or leave...

Alright, i was thinking about putting them on my termi version of Phosis that i'm planning on making.

Also, i have made quite a bit of progress on my comp entry, now i just need more shoulder pads and jumppacks.

I have created a new (kind of slow) technique for making PH Jump Packs, the method to make the, and at least 3 examples will appear on here very shotly (as soon as i have an update with pics)

2 x TL Autocannon's - yes, you can replace the dreads ccw with one for + 10 pts

2 x M. Launchers - no. You can only replace the ccw with a M.launcher

all riddy then on with real stuff, looking good once again but dont see the reason to have 2 Autocannon's on a dred, i think a las cannon or plasma cannon or even a multi-melta would be better.(in my opinion of course :D )

It would! My FLGS, has I think about five PH models, four Death Guard Marines and a DG Dread. The Dread has twin auto cannons, AND I think a missile launcher as well. Plus, the guy who made it used the Venerable Dread chassis/body, so it's all ****** up with gold on it.

I'm thinking about the TL Autocannons for my upcoming dreadnought project, i'm magnetising the arms so...... YAY!!!!!
