Has anyone done any models or forces for any of the Davin Cults, like the Snake Cult, the Tiger (I think) Cult, and so on?

I'm currently working on some prototypes for Fire Cultists of Tharn from the CCG.

I believe edencontact did some Davinite minis from the artwork too.

I guess you could use some combination of the plastic Catachans and the plastic Chaos Marauders to give them a slightly feral look.

I'm going for WFB Flagellants mixed with Cadians. Pics tomorrow.

Heavy bolter team. You can't quite see how hilariously ill-fitting the helmet is, obscuring the spotter's eyes... but it doesn't matter because his mouth is stitched shut, and the loader is in stocks so he can't reach the ammo crates. It's all very slapstick.

Hmmm... they basically went into Davin in a lot more detail in the CCG artwork.

All the various lodges and factions were explored, and the Fire Cultists are presumably just some cultists who worship fire as an aspect of Chaos.

They burn stuff. It blows up good. Huh huh... :D

But weren't the Davinites to have ape-like heads ?

As far as I remember theyd deevolved a tad. How bout some sideburns Shroud :P

The Kinebrach were the cyber-apes. Davinites were just humans.

Although some of the obviously-Khorne cults are decidely 'epsilon' in their appearance...

Theese could just be khorne dudes as you mention but as far as I remember all the ones on davin looked like this, besides the snake cultists I think.

If I can recall right I think Loken is thinking to himself thats it strange that they werent all erm erased at first sight. Something about "ah how human kind can get different in just a few tousand years", almost the same mumble that the fop Karkasy dos before he gets his teeth kicked in.

Could be wrong though....

I personally think they diversified too much in the artwork.

I wouldn't go as far as to call them ape-like, but yes they are the more feral looking ones I meant. Equally, there are thin and scary looking psykers and some fairly normal guys who just have the Chaos star on their robes...

Ive been looking trough my collected visions now and sometimes I wonder if the ones who made much of the artwork actually knew anything about 40/30k at all(not to mention the what four space marins with names but totaly wrong legion name)
Some of those davinites in the book look like mr average joe cultist, I for one really like the deevolved look.
Why am I rambling? It your models Shroud and they look cool(even thou they lack sideburns and big teeth)

If you wanted to go for the devolved look then beastmen heads without the horns would probably be a sensible choice.

The flamer guy looks cool Laurie. Love the heavy bolter team too, donno how the commaning guy expects the guy in the stocks to do much! :lol: good comedy miniature!
