Title: Pre heresy dread
Description: conversion ideas??

Lord_Mortirion - August 30, 2009 04:21 PM (GMT)
I have extended the legs on my AoBR dread, and was wondering if anybody had ideas on how to turn the sarcophagus in to something a little more preheresy ish... i was just gonna throw a load of putty at it and hope for the best but i think asking around on here would be the better idea first, before i ruin it... any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

You could put a Terminator chest plate with the head-archy thingy on it on the sarcophagus with a knightly or T-visor head in it. That seems to work really well for approximating a MkIV dread.

Are you talking about something like this?

Then I suggest one of three for the chest piece; either part of a drum from the IG Tank accessory sprue, part of the tube carry case from the 40K Battlefield Accessories set, or failing that go and buy some plasticard tubing from a modelling shop that does railway stuff.
I think there might be such a shop near Central Station, up on Bold Street. But I should warn you that I last saw it a few years back, so it may no longer be there.

As for the head, I'm currently trying to see if the Defiler heads will fit.

I'll try to post some pics soon.

Edit: I was quick today!
