lol at the seminar 3 thing some one asked about the squats and all the design team were like "what are you talking bout?" "squats?" then they sed when we can make a atractive squat model we will re do them. blah blah blah :P

I think that it's nice that they've gone back to the idea of the "special edition" model, and not just a rehashed marine/ork/dwarf/whatever.

I remember the Space Santa, Space Zombie, Drunken Christmas Marines, and, best of all, Chaos Toilet!! :lol:

I take it you only get one if you take out the gift subscription, cos I never got any freebie with my normal sub and doubt i'll get anything with my 2year renewal that I've just carried out. :angry:

Anyway speaking of squats, my first figures were a couple of squats. I don't think I ever painted them properly either. Must rake through my bits box and pull them out.

They did promotions 'in a box' where you had a small book-like box with the miniature and then had to go into a store to set-up your subscription. They supposedly do 1 special model a year and you can pick older 'boxes' (or could).

Had them, sold them. Terrible sculpts :P

Spirit Games found 12 Santas in their stock room when they moved premises.

As I recall, they had a big party shortly afterwards. ;)

Yeah the christmas marines (they had an icon of an xmas tree on their shoulder IIRC) always seem to sell for a lot despite being crap!

That space dwarf is great and almost enough to convince me to get a subscription to WD just on its own! I don't think its indicative of any release of a new space dwarf race though, despite all my wishes that this was the case :P

Maybe they'll sell it on its own, as currently you can get the White Dwarf model from last christmas' subscription on its own.

I think they only let you buy just the mini if you already have a script.
