Rogal Dorn - October 17, 2009 02:41 PM (GMT)
this new album is amazingly good, for any rammstein fans here i highly reccomend you get it.
Be warned, it contains alot of adult content lol, especially the music video for the new song "P***y"...im sure you can figure out the word
Whitehorn - October 17, 2009 03:43 PM (GMT)
Another lyrical masterpiece.
robert_the_damned - October 17, 2009 04:34 PM (GMT)
Rammstein have always had a lot of adult content its just always been in german
Their newest video is defenatly the most graphic music video ever  not sure if I really wanted to see what was in it to be honnest.
ShroudFilm - October 17, 2009 04:40 PM (GMT)
They've always courted controversy.
Nothing says "Rammstein" quite like the enduring image of a 6 foot tall German bodybuilder spraying litres of artficial bodily fluids all over the front rows of the audience, while on fire.

Know these guys personally...one point if you are into paintballing *ggg*...
they are straight down to earth...no divas of rock or something else...still nice guys....
A and they will carry on making these adult things...its not a child band...its Rammstein !!
Rogal Dorn - October 18, 2009 03:48 AM (GMT)
Shorty...im extremely jelous
Lady_Chaos - October 18, 2009 09:37 AM (GMT)
I just saw the new video..... :o Not really sure what to say about it.....
It's definately nsfw though. :P
robert_the_damned - October 18, 2009 12:33 PM (GMT)
 haha this thread just had an add for rammstein tickets  damn advertising. <_< Like I can afford nearly £100 for one gig.
Whitehorn - October 18, 2009 12:51 PM (GMT)
Paintball? Rammstein? Do they want to be associated with girly sports?
robert_the_damned - October 18, 2009 05:48 PM (GMT)
Yeah everyone knows real men play airsoft B)
Listened to the new album today, can't say I was that impressed with it, didn't seem to have the same emotion to it as the latest albums have had. No songs with the brutality of Zestoren or with the mornfulness of Ohne Dich or Wo Bist Du. Just seemed a bit 'filler' like other than the title track and P***y, Fruhling in Paris was mildly amusing though.

I've got the Rammstein banner ad just appear, to. :)
I have one of their albums; don't recall which. I quite liked it but don't know if I like it enough to buy more. I don't listen to the radio much so my exposure to new music is quite limited.
I did, however, find out that Less Than Jake released a new album a few months ago and have got that; I'm enjoying it very much. Although I suspect that the forum's musical tastes may in general be heavier than mine. ;)

Herzeleid is very impressive as a debut, really sets up their stall on the musical market and regularly gets a spin on my decks. 'Asche zu Asche' and 'Wollt Ihr das Bett In Flammen Sehen' are the standout tracks, with 'Seeman' being the iconic melodic track. I can play that on the bass - that was my conversation starter when I met Oliver Riedel!
Sehnsucht (or 'Set in Such +' if you are an idiot eBay seller! ) was the album that brought them to public attention across the world, riding the wave of popularity from 'Du Hast' being included on the Matrix OST and their stint on the Family Values tour in the USA. There were some great tracks on here, but it does smack of copy+paste in places. Definitely great drinking/clubbing music.
Mutter is by far their finest work, with every track being an absolute corker and the videos representing some of the best material MTV has never played. The live show on this tour was fantastic too, with some huge set pieces and costumes - it was like Ozzy, Alice Cooper or Iron Maiden turned up to 11! 'Links-2-3-4' and 'Spieluhr' stand out for me.
I was somewhat disappointed with Reise Reise, which seemed to be made up of B-sides - they were hitting all the same targets as Mutter but with none of the style and flair. 'Morgenstern' and 'Amerika' are the best offerings, although the "acoustic industrial" riffs of 'Los' are quite interestingly different for Rammstein.
Rosenrot, in all honesty, bored the hell out of me. It was like a Rammstein tribute band had written an album in a bizarre act of hero-worship, but had missed the point entirely. I don't even know half the songs' names, having listened to it so little.
From what I have heard, the new album is great. I will go check out the 'P***y' video now and see what the fuss is about...
EDIT:  Flippin' 'eck.
Magos Explorator - October 18, 2009 07:23 PM (GMT)
Yes, I think Mutter is the one I have. :)

"mein bratwurst in dein sauerkraut"...
sorry you guys, this is where i draw the line. i'm going home...
just bought the album for mrs horusundivided and she loves it. my wive loves big roaring body-fluid spraying germans who sing about their bratwurst, while i like playing with little fascist spacemen on steroids, i wonder if there's any hope left for our children... :P
shorty - October 20, 2009 06:13 AM (GMT)
there is no hope.....
By the way its meinE...just to be correct *ggg*.... ;)
shorty - October 20, 2009 06:19 AM (GMT)
my most favourite Video "Ich will" *ggg*....
Yvraith - October 20, 2009 08:23 AM (GMT)
Well that was definitely an interesting video clip.
I can't see the uncensored version being shown on many music video shows in the near future or ever.
[nagging parent mode] If you aren't over 18 I suggest you don't look at it.
It will definitely make you head explode! [/end nagging parent mode]
ShroudFilm - October 20, 2009 09:14 AM (GMT)
Agreed, Shorty - 'Ich Will' is may favourite music video of all time.
Lady_Chaos - October 21, 2009 04:19 PM (GMT)
Feuer Frei is my favourite Rammstein video. :)
BANG BANG!!
ShroudFilm - October 21, 2009 05:56 PM (GMT)
Meh... movie tie-ins suck... as if indie film directors don't have a hard enough time getting contracts, music labels can demand re-edits of movies to match the OST releases instead of having original videos made.
Lame.
Rogal Dorn - October 21, 2009 08:58 PM (GMT)
im a big fan of the Ohne Dich video
Lady_Chaos - October 22, 2009 06:13 AM (GMT)
I liked the fire! ...and i rather enjoyed the movie too, even with it's predictable plot. :P
They could have done a war-themed video for that song, would have made more sense.... But that's all been done before.
ShroudFilm - October 22, 2009 06:23 PM (GMT)
The video for 'Mutter' was actually very good too... made me want to wade around in swamps.
shorty - October 23, 2009 06:51 AM (GMT)
also epic was "ohne dich" thats right Dorn. Mountain climbing drama...i liked it...
It was also covered by the critical Band Laibach (normally which is the Band Rammstein got their music style from you can see it as a frommage from Laibach to cover rammstein)...not a bad version if you know the music of Laibach:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdJJbVH5qJ8But back to Rammstein and for all Firefighters out there "Benzin"...cant live without it *ggg*...
