Whitehorn resets the bar with 27 correct answers. He would have got the fourth point in the tie-breaker if he'd chosen one year instead of two...
Whitehorn - October 27, 2009 11:37 AM (GMT)
I had to guess. I have early memories and rough dates in my head :)
Not bad! Some of them directly applied to what I've exposed to though - like half of my armies :D
Was I right about the celebrity?

It really should, shouldn't it? Heh. This is why attempting this was a BAD idea :D
Must learn to engage brain first.
ShroudFilm - October 27, 2009 12:41 PM (GMT)
Very good RS! You've set the highest score so far, but with a couple of wrong answers and a few more unanswered. As befits a Lore Master!
Whitehorn - no, you got the celebrity wrong. You were the first to get the SOT date right though, albeit in the wrong date format.
The Red Sorcerer - October 27, 2009 01:05 PM (GMT)
Heh. S=hould have thought more carefully. Lessee, I reckon incorrect were:
1. DOH :D
18
30
Fairly sure I got the celebrity right tho!
Whitehorn - October 27, 2009 01:36 PM (GMT)

It is Shroud...the German MB Version had that Pic on it...
Back to that Bonus Question...someone had an answer ?
ShroudFilm - October 28, 2009 10:42 AM (GMT)
Yes, and the French version also had that cover... the European versions were released YEARS after the UK version, and coincided with the UK reprint using that artwork.
After LOVING Heroquest, I bought Space Crusade on the day of release and it had a different cover for the first print run. That's just a fact.
EDIT: Found it.
shorty - October 28, 2009 10:50 AM (GMT)
Muhaha yes thats Space Scarface the third time *ggg* but this time from the other side...I think that was even before the other Game im knowing that used that pic was released...
that brings me to the point of searching an sculpter who could do me a scarface head for use with hero sized miniatures *g*....
Shroud there is still one game left that used the same pic like Horus Heresy...
ShroudFilm - October 28, 2009 11:06 AM (GMT)
Battle for Armageddon was *kinda* similar... much worse though.
Whitehorn - October 28, 2009 11:29 AM (GMT)

Ok i will end it then...the very very first Version of Space Marine aka Epic had the same Artwork like the Horus Heresy. After that was released i think the guys at GW thought about a change and released another Version of Space Marine with another artwork...
here is the first edition:

the second one had an Ultramarine Assault on the front with two warlord titans striding in the background...
ah here it is...

And i found another Box just for 40k aka Rogue Trader i think there were Space Marine Miniatures in it...but i cant find the Box Artwork again...but it was definitly 40k Style and with the pic of the Horus Heresy on the cardboard box.
Whitehorn - October 28, 2009 12:31 PM (GMT)
Nostalgia kicking in now. Have most of these boxes in the loft!
Pacific - October 28, 2009 01:49 PM (GMT)
I love that 2nd edition epic boxart, have got it set as the background on my laptop..
The Red Sorcerer - October 28, 2009 02:16 PM (GMT)
Yeah I bought that edition of Epic. Ahhhh. The rhinos from the set are currently being used for my Thousand Sons many moons later. And I have plans for the Warlord Titan it came with too...
Mind you, i remember the 'Eavy Metal paint jobs for epic infantry in those days were pretty dreadful. Nice paint jobs on the Titans, but everything else was incredibly basic.
shorty - October 28, 2009 03:48 PM (GMT)
hehe the secon head from that warhound gave me the perfecdt head for my Space Wolf Cybot...that Epic Version kicked ass....

I will post up the answers after the weekend.
Arden Fell - October 29, 2009 12:40 PM (GMT)
I'm too embarassed to post my answers as I have only got about 5 so far.
