No no, its not just that, look through my posts, you will see slightly lighter text in a couple of them, they are hyper-links, but beware, the Warforge no longer has Death Shroud temis

Looks really good so far, my only concern is that the head looks a little small but it might just be me.

Now Im working on my tactical marines. I made some MK2 macragge pattern helmets, some Armorum Ferrum helmets and some MK 6 ones. I also made studded left shoulderpads. I think, I'll stay with the actual bolters but I'll try to do some pre-heresy ones. My army still need some details because they look bit plain and too simple. <_<

Do you have any idea, how to make MK IV chest plates without buying FW conversion kits? I think I'll just do it with GS but im not sure. <_<

how did you do the fist??????!!!!

I cut off fingers of original fist and made fingers from useless sprues :D. Then I cut the old credit card to those plates, glued it, added GS, and when it was hard I made them thinner and nice. I made the elbow from my old and crappy dreadnought's knee.

Oil drums, and a head from a Defiler?

You need half an oil drum, like those found in the battlefield scenery sets,
chop a third off one end, the long bit is for the curved chest, the short for the arc over the head.
You'll nead a head/ mask from a Defiler, I suggest the Skull one for this.

Then you need to mount them on the front of a Dread's sarcophagus....
And that's about as far as I've gotten.

That's a nice dread, very beefy looking.

For the Mk4, I've personally done it out of putty, but you could use plasticard strips as a guid then fill it in (one longer length across the top of the chest, then one down the centre of the abdomen). For the cables, either guitar wire (annoying) or these (great!).

Well esides using the Mk IV chest off the BT sprue, three conversions come to mind.

The easiest is to convert the Assault Squad chests, the ones for Jump Pack Troops.
The cables and connector are already there, you just need to remove the chest eagle and replace it with an armour plate.

Simply put, you cover the visible eagle wings with greenstuff to form the upper part of the plate, and you add greenstuff to the stomach to form the lower parts.

The next one is harder to do. You start with the Khorne Berzerker chest that has a Khorne medallion attached to the middle of the chest with chains and straps.
Remove the Khorne symbols and cut off the tops of the 'upright' chain links.

over the straps and chains with a thin layer of greenstuf, leave for 10-30 mins, then cut lines across them using a craftknife. If you're careful the greenstuffed straps and chains will start to look like cables.



The third tachnique is the hardest. You need guitar wire, thin stuff like a 'G', and the SM Chest with only a skull.
Add the extra plating to the chest, you may need to remove the skull, then carefully carve/file grooves into the chest for the cables to sit in.
Glue the cables in place and then add the connector unit, you may have to scratchbuild or sculpt it.
The figure second from the left in the picture above, has such a chest but I used too large a grade of guitar wire.

Hello, do you have any idea, how to make ancient roman like leather straps?

I use green/grey stuff, roll it out with fingers, and flatten and smooth it with a vaseline-lubricated sculpting tool.

Thanks for the advice Explorator. Do you have any idea for PHDG storm shields? <_< I think that from the termie box doesn't fit for the pre-heresy looking. I thought about some roman like shields or sth.

Maximini has something similar, they're Tribe of the Black Lotus or something like that) shields

I have used a Tomb King shield for my Thousand Sons--could work for Death Guard too, with the skull motif.

Black lotus shields would fit pre-heresy ultramarines but not DG :( . I'll see what I can do with the tomb kings ones, but I think im not up for buing whole box for 6 shields <_< .

I got one with the TG command set, perfect iconography IMO.

I've finished my sternguard squad(camera broken - pics later) and now Im planning to make my librarian and termie captain. Do you have any concepts how to pose my captain(body from metal chaos termie with all icons and arrows removed, same with libararian but I left the cables because they fit the librarian, khemri shield, Im not sure about hammer, I waned to use plastic chaos termie power mace as thunder hammer but it looks abit crappy).
