Title: Deathwing Killteam
BigWill - November 1, 2009 01:45 PM (GMT)
I was experimenting on Pimping my Terminators when I made this mk2 inspired chest

I looked like the perfect Jumping off point for a Dark Angel Deathwing.
I will be doing 4 more eventually so this is more like the prototype.
I am haing a problem getting the hooded heads on the termie like I wanted
There will have to be alot of cutting and sanding to make them work.

It might be a lot of work, but you can do it!
Plus, cool looking chest plate man!

Looking really good. I like the armor on the chest and the lion alot. Somethign about the block in the middle of the chest looks abit off tho. but all in all good job.

Damn it Fortronus you voiced what I was thinking.
I am thinking of redoing it a bit smaller
edit: once I got home off it came I may take off the icon from the rope and glue it directly to his chest.
It looked better immediatley, you were right Fortronus

I am getting close to finshing the Deathwing,I need to highlight and detail the face base him and I'm done.

anyone know any good ways to get the hood and surplice to work?
BigWill - November 5, 2009 07:57 PM (GMT)
What started as me finding the champion bit in my bitz box turned into me modeling the Deathwing Assault cannon Termie.
I just need to g/s the back of the head but this looks very close to what I was looking to do.
My question to you guys which way does he look better arm up or arm down???

Hero of Istvaan - November 5, 2009 07:59 PM (GMT)
down dude, deffinatly looks better down B)
H-Gate - November 5, 2009 08:32 PM (GMT)
Have to agree with HoI... better down.
Everything looking great mate!

If he's going to stay the AC guy then go with down. But with the Hood head and yelling i'd think about switching him back to the Sgt. and leaveing the arm up in a charge type pose. I think you already have a sgt tho so maybe a IC. all in all they are comeing along very nicely. Everytime i look i love the Lion on the leg. I may try to give it a go myself.
BigWill - November 5, 2009 10:34 PM (GMT)
Arm down it is.
He is going to stay AC he has a bionic eye for the HW interface.
The other 3 guys are all going to have hoods and surplices.

That'll look pretty cool then. I see a few studs on the right leg there you planing on adding more ? Wasn't sure how they'd look on Ter legs like to see a close up on that if ya could please.
