VERY wip shots of my 3 different possibilities for soldiers and defenders of the Machine Spirit.
Because Mars "technically" isn't part of the Imperium, I guess they go under non-imperial humans, but their also not enemies of the Imperium... O well.

I've just changed the cloak to dark purple too, I thought it looked better.

I guess these also could be technocracy soldiers too.

the greenstuff could sue some work....

but if your doing mechanicus get some of the old Arbites and judge Dredd models....they make perfect Skitarii, and thats what the two mechanicus armys at my store use. they will come out much better

I like them, though from a fluff point of view, they probably should be red... The guy with the cloak looks cool. An army of those advancing across the table would look rather menacing...

Good Idea you have there.
I would probally try to get as far away from the Cadian look as much as possible.
People use the Warhammer Fantasy line(I think Brettonians) for alot of Admech.
Ya gotta really check out the modeling and painting articles on the GW site they have alot of great conversions to give you inspiration
