Part of a squad that I bought last summer. Just got round to doing my 1st one

C&C Please :)

WOW those are nice :o but, the only C&C i could make was that the bolter and spearhead look a little small, and maybe the legs could use some bulking up. :lol:

They are cast like that and they are as tall roughly as a marine (if anything they are slightly taller), they DO look a bit fragile admittedly (especially when the guardian spear keeps breaking) and the bolter part is small, but then they are supposed to have the best weaponry available, so my take on that is best doesn't have to be biggest! ;)

(In before Vred says "Is that what Mrs Iacton says?" :P )

I dread to think. The exchange rate was much better for Euros at the time but it wasn't far off £75 for 10 models in all - 5 termies and 5 standards (Although this included 2 lots of signed for P&P whilst they made their way down the chain - I wasn't gonna let them just get "lost" in the post)!

Yeah, the visors are a little over complicated, but there ARE eye slits under the eagle's wings. See pic below.

Great paintjob, the only critique from me, the very bright gloves and the skirt doesn't fit so well. In my opinion.

To paint them in a brown would maybe look better.
But so it is something new.

Keep them up.

The whole squad must look briliant.

Time to paint mine.

The arms and guardian spears are SO fragile that I don't think that they will survive!

Shame but I don't think so.

Maybe, I was sort of aiming at light coloured leather, like calf's leather if you know what I mean. I may tone the leather down yet.

Nice--where are the models from?

I know what you mean about the calf's leather.
The kind of painting is great, it is only I imagine the custodes with a dark brown leather.

But I think this is only because of the artwork in all the HH works.

My suggestion, leave it this way and paint the rest of the squad like your first one.
Than you have something special.
And not like the artwork.
