Title: The Emperor
Description: in a gameable capacity.

Now read it before you get the urge to scream and shout please!
Thought I'd put up some gaming rules for the Emperor (seen as I now have the model). You'll notice he is completely based on a certain special character, so there shouldn't be any balance problems (beyond those already there...). He would cost 50pts more than the original due to the removal of his weapon's disadvantage and the addition of Iron Will.
The Emperor
WS: 7
BS: 5
S: 4(8)
T: 5
W: 5
I: 6
A: 4*
Ld: 10
Sv: 2+/4+
Equipment: Runesword, Power Talon, Twin-Linked Bolter, Armour of Truth, Teleporticon.
Special Rules: Independant Character, Iron Will, Deep Strike, Immune to Instant Death.
Runesword & Power Talon: Master-Crafted, these weapons double the Emperor's Strength, ignore armour saves, give him +D6 attacks every turn and allow him to re-roll all failed to-wound rolls
Armour of Truth: Master-Crafted, this suit of golden armour is the greatest example of personal armour in the galaxy, inscribed with potent wards and hexes to protect the Master of Mankind from harm. It provides a 2+ Armour Save, a 4+ Invulnerable Save and makes the Emperor Immune to Instant Death.
Teleporticon: A powerful teleportation device that allows the Emperor to teleport straight on/off of a battlefield. Counts as a Teleport Homer/Personal Icon. As soon as the Emperor is reduced to one wound, remove him and his bodyguard from the table. Counts as destroyed for VP purposes. All wounds beyond the one that reduces him to one wound are discounted for the purpose of combat resolution.
Any comments/Questions? Please remember that this is not supposed to be an accurate representation of Him, just a gameable one. Will add the Custodian Guard, probably next week...

Hmmm, I wonder who that was based on
I like these rules myself, nicely balanced and think it is a nice idea to base primarch rules (and the Emperor, obviously) on pre-existing rules. Have you considered doing anything similar for any other characters?
Ekaddon - April 4, 2008 06:44 PM (GMT)
Nah, thatīs ok I think. The stats are not too hard.
I on the other hand would make him a tad more harder. After all, he is The bloody Emperor,...
goroul - April 4, 2008 11:33 PM (GMT)
Looks pretty gameable to me, have you missed a line explaining his weapons ignore armour saves though?
ShroudFilm - April 5, 2008 07:09 PM (GMT)
Hmmm... seems kinda blasphemous to make up stats for Him-On-Earth...
Anyway, this certainly isn't an Army Lists question. [BOING]

Sorry Shroud, as it was to do with army building (in a way), I though that the best place...
I did indeed miss the ignore armour saves, now ammended. Thanks goroul... :D
I would make hime harder, but these rules, I thought, would be more acceptable for people, just a few tweaks to already known rules...
Might be an idea to do rules for all the Primarchs. Maybe make them Apocalypse datasheets... Hmm... *scratches chin*.
Sons of Horus - April 30, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
i like those rules. FINALLY someone who treats the Emperors rules as they should be.
they are perfect because thats just how strong the emperor is and not any stronger!
Horn - May 22, 2008 02:05 PM (GMT)
Give him all SM Psychic powers and Ahriman-esque recasting.
This guy passes ordance templates through your head.
Language. Vredesbyrd.
Corax - May 22, 2008 07:01 PM (GMT)
I agree with Horn. The Emperor is the greatest psyker in the Universe and deserves something along the lines of knowing every single psychic power that the Imperials can use. What about the Runesword being a force weapon? I thought that The Emperor used a stormbolter? Also, should he be fearless or no? Just my thoughts.
Torg - May 23, 2008 09:48 AM (GMT)
Seems ok to me,But I agree with Corax "The Emp" should be able to use
Any and I mean Any Psychic power! He is after all the Emporer!
And as for his sword, I agree with Corax again "His"sword should have a
force type weapon rule, but master uber crafted! Also The Emp should also
be able to have any weapon at his disposal, but Master uber crafted! :) :D

i have a question which im not sure belongs here, but when i was perusing it popped up and i didnt want to lose it! so here i go... did the Emperor wear a helmet? because being the top dude around, it would be pretty unlucky to see his head get blown up even by a grunt gun?????. all hail the mighty grunt!!!
just a question
Weiss - June 5, 2008 11:49 AM (GMT)
A perfectly valid one at that. According to some "inside fluff" cultivated from Abnett by Shroud (he swears it doesn't come from his belly button), the Emperor is just a withered old man that looks the way he does because he projects a psychic aura around himself.
Presumably then, the grunt firing at what he believes to be the Emperor's head will probably be missing by about two or three feet anyway. Add on top of that the emperor's many psychic shields that he's thrown up around himself and I'd be surprised if anything other than a warp-infused primarch could harm him... ;)
Iacton - June 5, 2008 02:34 PM (GMT)
The Emp is sounding more and more like a character from the Men In Black films....or Tom Cruise
Auzzierulz - June 8, 2008 11:29 AM (GMT)
but is it possible that the grunt in question is so dimwhitted that any psychic shields or attacks would have no purchase since the brain capacity of the grunt nullifies anything that goes against it? kind of like the Tau, where they be hidden from the warp etc...?
