Title: Custodian Bodyguard

Thanks go to Gagoc for the statline (though I've changed it a tad).

Custodian Bodyguard: 200pts.

A Custodian Bodyguard may be chosen as an HQ Choice for the following Pre-Heresy armies: Legiones Astartes, Imperial Army, Sisters of Silence, Adeptus Mechanicus. They may also be purchased as a retinue for certain Independant Characters, as noted in their individual entries.

Custodian: WS5 BS4 S4(5) T4 W2 I5 A2 Ld9 Sv2+
Captain: WS5 BS4 S4(5) T4 W2 I5 A3 Ld9 Sv2+

Unit Type: Infantry

Number/Squad: 5 Custodians

Equipment: Custodians are armed with a Guardian Spear and Storm Shield.

Options: Up to 5 additional Custodians may be purchased for the squad at 40pts each.

One Custodian may be upgraded to a Custodian Captain for +10pts.

He may replace his Guardian Spear with a Power Claw: +15pts.

He may replace his Storm Shield with one of the following: Combi-Weapon: +10pts, Twin-Linked Bolter +5pts. Note: he may still only fire one weapon during the shooting phase.

He may instead replace his Guardian Spear and Storm Shield with a pair of Lightning Claws for +15pts.

Two Custodians may replace their Guardian Spears with one of the following weapons: Flamespear: +5pts, Plasmaspear: +15pts, Meltaspear: +10pts, or replace their Guardian Spear and Storm shield with one of the following: Heavy Bolter: +5pts, Lascannon: +35pts, Plasma Cannon: +35pts.

Special Rules: Iron Will, Deep Strike, Gyro-Stabilisers, Glory in Death.

Iron Will: A Custodian Bodyguard may choose whether to pass or fail any morale/leadership test.

Deep Strike: May Deep Strike whether the Deep Strike rules are in effect for the mission being played or not.

Gyro-Stabilisers: All Custodian weapons are equipped with Gyro-Stabilisers. This has a different effect depending on the type of weapon:

Heavy: May be fired as normal while stationary. If moved in the movement phase, the weapon type becomes Assault and the Range of the weapon is halved.

Rapid-Fire: For the purposes of shooting, the wielder counts as stationary when employing a rapid-fire weapon, whether they moved or not (so may always fire one shot up to maximum range). They may still charge in the assault phase.

Glory in Death: When taken as a retinue for an independant character, the character counts as a squad upgrade in close-combat as each Custodian will gladly lay down their lives for their master.

Guardian Spear: The Guardian Spear is a power weapon that adds +1 Strength to the wielder (bonus included in profile) and features a Boltgun attachment, which may be fired as normal in the shooting phase (subject to the Gyro-Stabilisers rule).
Spears may be fitted with special weapons, in which case the weapon replaces the boltgun attachment. (Flamespear = Flamer, Plasmaspear = Plasmagun, Meltaspear = Meltagun).

Thoughts? Comments?

I'm not too sure about the Captain. Was playing with the idea of adding an extra BS and W (and of course hiking the price).

[EDIT]: Was also just thinking, should I add in options for specialists? (standard, champion, apothecary).
