Codex: Hands of the Emperor - Sisters of Silence

Special Rules

The Emperor’s Mark is on our Brow: All Sisters are marked with the Emperor’s personal sign: the Aquilla. As such all sisters models invulnerable save is increased by one (from 5+ to 4+ and so on.)

We are Silent but not without Resolve: All Sisters with this rule may choose to pass or fail morale checks even if failure is normally automatic.

His Judgment is ours to Deliver!: All Sisters are nulls. They are born with the gift of being able to blanket psykers and warp-spawn. It cause them pain to stand in one of their presence. To represent this no psychic powers whatsoever may affect Sisterhood units and Sisterhood units may not use psychic powers. Also any psykers or daemons (this includes Possessed and Daemon Princes) suffer a -1 modifier to their Leadership and Initiative - to a minimum of 1 - when they are within 6” of a Sisterhood unit.

Armoury:

Blades of Antiquity: A set of ancient blades re-constructed to be able to cut through power armour. The wielder counts as being armed with a pair of Lightning Claws.

Maiden Armour: The Sisterhood is equipped with the best weapons and armour that suits their task. One of these items is their Maiden Armour, it is a suit of close fitting masterfully crafted golden plates fitted with a communicative clicking system. It confers a 3+ armour save and a 6+ invulnerable save on the wearer.

Executioner: The Executioner is a two handed sword with a built in Inferno Pistol that can cut through even the thickest armour with ease. To represent it, the Executioner is a Two-Handed Power Sword with a built in Inferno Pistol that adds +2 strength to the wielder in Close Combat.

Gladius: A short sword containing a crystalline matrix enabling it to cut through armour like paper. The Gladius counts as a power sword.

Inferno Pistol: A hand-held flamer often wielded to burn the witch and the daemon. It is used with the following stat line:
Range: Template Str:4 AP:5 Notes: Assault 1, No Cover Save.

Tranquillity Banner: It is a Sashimono banner carried between a sister’s shoulder blades. It is white with no decoration, just blank. To the sisters it reminds them of their ability and of their duty to the Emperor, making them fight harder and with a greater resolve. To represent this any Sisterhood unit within 6” of a Tranquillity Banner may re-roll any failed ‘to hit’ rolls.

Looking good to me man. I like the first rule a lot. I don't think they'll be overpowered as long as there aren't too many of them, which will be decided by the points costs.

Keep up the good work!

Fulgrim - April 14, 2008 09:24 PM (GMT)
Added the Oblivion Knight rules, what do you think?

Weiss - April 15, 2008 07:20 AM (GMT)
Hmm, looking good man. Have you kept her Initiative down because of her advantage over psykers and daemons?

For the armour, maybe make it a master-crafted suit? The Sisters just don't seem that heavily armoured to me... It's your call though, just an opinion... :D

Maybe give her the option of some kind of double strength weapon (a hulking great big sword springs to mind, but I'm just biased... :D)?

Oh, and give her frag and krak... I keep forgetting that too...

Keep it up man!

[EDIT]: Also, in her current state, is she really worth 100pts?

Fulgrim - April 16, 2008 09:21 PM (GMT)
Added in the Raptor Guard and a few Wargear pieces including a big sword :P. Ive made a few changes to the Oblivion Knights stats, is it okay or is the points cost still too high?

EDIT: Also does anyone know the name of those Japanese style banners that are placed between the shoulders like the ones in the picture of the Raptor Guard?

Weiss - April 17, 2008 07:20 AM (GMT)
They're known as Sashimono. Wiki Page

Big glaring hole man: We are silent but not without resolve removes the need to take morale checks so the banners are useless. Maybe make it a re-roll on Leadership tests?

Is there a reason they have two wounds each?

Frag, Krak and Meltabombs: As it stands, you would have to spend 8pts to get the best out of these, and even then, only one model gets to attack a tank. I would personally make frag and krak standard then have the Judge able to take meltabombs.

Also, their Leadership. I know it won't make a difference, as they'll always have an Oblivion Knight leading them, but to me, it just doesn't feel right. What's the point in having a leader when they provide no real bonus in terms of leading people?

Other than those points, looking good man, keep it up!

Thanks for that and yeah ive changed that, it does make it slghtly redundant.

Not a justifiable one so if changed it to 1 wound.

Yeap, I agree so ive changed them both, thanks for that :D

No probs man. Maybe think of some specialists for the squad? Banner bearer is obviously redundant, but medic would have a place. Maybe a psy-occulum (or whatever it was called)-equipped one? Just some ideas to bounce around...

Fulgrim - April 18, 2008 04:42 PM (GMT)
Ive added the Seeker Squad and a specialist. Do you like? :D

EDIT: Added Persecutor Squad and the Hunter Squad as well... 5 down 5 to go...

Weiss - April 30, 2008 01:14 PM (GMT)
The two troop choices are nice. I like them, they give a good amount of flexibility. With three of each, you have one squad shooting the enemy until they get to you, then you can jump forward, rapid-fire the suckers and have the close-combat girls do the rest.

Fulgrim - May 26, 2008 10:26 AM (GMT)
Sorry for the long absence, excuses include such as exams and whatever. But anyways i'be added the rules for Jeneta Krole. Enjoy :P

Fulgrim - October 25, 2008 10:23 AM (GMT)
Wow, huge threadomancy. But I've added two more units and changed a few things, C&C welcome!
