Is anyone here enjoying her as much as I am?

(If someone wants the album I can arrange for a link in the secret stash).

I love this chick!! Have been listening to her non stop this week. My friends loved her too.

You are such a good boy, engin!

Which are you faves? Mine are Creator, Lights Out and Anne :alexz:

Well I actually only like the first half of the album. The second half is boring/hasn't grown on me yet.

So yeah.. Actually the first 6 songs and the remix at the end.

So you're ditching Lights Out? :files:

engin - May 16, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)
It's cute but not as great as the previous ones

One word: OVERRATED.

I've listened to her album a lot and there are fuck all decent tunes on it.

This is what I'm leaning towards as well, based on what I've heard (which isn't much, though).

Well yeah. It's not that I think it's awful or anything, but at times she just sounds like a super-trendy Nelly Furtado minus the tunes. I do like a couple of tracks though, but not really getting into the album.

"Lights Out" is the best thing on it for me.

"Santogold"??? Sounds like the brand name of a new kind of margarine! :chuckle:

Popjustice: How did Ashlee Simpson get so many amazing people working on her new album?

Santogold: Come on. It's just money. I go into the studio, everything you order comes on a silver platter - and I'm not kidding. They bring you chocolate chip cookies on a silver platter. A REAL silver platter. On the business side of things and from an experience side of things, you're not going to turn down situations like that. It's a formula, for all that type of music you hire the same producers and you get a certain level of quality because you pay for it. But it's a different thing entirely - it's not the same as artistic music. That's not the sort of pop music I talk about. It's a different world and it's for different people and for me the experience of doing that is very important.

So true.

henZ - May 28, 2008 09:29 AM (GMT)
Doesn't change the fact that Ashlee's album is good.
