Title: Popjustice comment on HC
Riverwide - May 22, 2008 10:09 AM (GMT)
On their main page...
Quick query if you've got a minute or two - is anyone finding that every time they listen to 'Hard Candy' it gets slightly worse?
No doubt many in here will agree. I'm pleased to say that I'm not one of them. I'm still thoroughly enjoying it!

My opinion on songs keep changing... one day I'll love Heartbeat the next it's ok, the next it get's skipped. Same with a few of the other tracks

sadly I can see his point.
its erotica all over again.
Fembot 1 - May 22, 2008 11:49 AM (GMT)
I think it's a much better album than Erotica...
As for their comment about HC, I find that's true of a lot of albums...it's the iPod generation effect!

Oh, if only it was like Erotica!
The tracks i like, i like a lot, so they don't get worse at all.

Popjustice is a hugely fickle site anyway. They talked about "X" like it was the second coming last year. A few months later they were slating it.
They stuff they rave about it almost always dreadfully camp pop wank.

No, they weren't very positive about X, i remember it was a shock because they use to be very Kyliefans. They said that The One was the best track and that placed in that weird place as a number 7 track it would end up like Your Disco Needs You, not being released. Will all those rumours about Like a Drug being the single, it's clear they were rright.

Sadly, Hard Candy was never that good to begin with. I find myself having absolutely no desire to listen to it and when I do it's out of some sort of misplaced loyalty to M.

OH WELL. I still think it's a very good album. Definitely one of my favourites so far this year.
mingemuncher - May 22, 2008 02:51 PM (GMT)
I haven't changed my mind about it. The songs which I thought were turds to start with, still sound like turds to me.
Matys - May 22, 2008 05:10 PM (GMT)
I agree.
Nowadays the only track I still listen to is Dance 2Night, a fantastic pop song! Evertime I hear the other songs I hear something about them that's itching me, like the repeated outro of Devil or the destortion on Voices.
Must add that the live performances don't make me want to listen to the album again too.

They've posted this just now:
Quick query if you've got a minute or four - is anyone finding that every time they listen to '4 Minutes' it gets slightly better?
bulletproof_heart - May 23, 2008 08:18 AM (GMT)
I haven't listened to it for about 2 weeks.... I actually keep forgetting it when I think about the album. I find myself saying 'Ooh whats that other one??' :chuckle:
