Ooh thanks!!!

bulletproof_heart - June 5, 2008 09:22 AM (GMT)
Seen it once... that was enough

Riverwide - June 5, 2008 09:24 AM (GMT)
Well I want to see it on TV, to see if it'll maybe go from a 5/10 video to a 5.5/10 one.

johnnox - June 5, 2008 09:33 AM (GMT)
am hoping on Tv it will look good. I kinda liked the one I saw on youtube tho.

bulletproof_heart - June 5, 2008 09:35 AM (GMT)
Choo sick

Karbatal - June 5, 2008 09:05 PM (GMT)
I don't find the video so bad, in fact i kinda like it :shy:

SuperPop - June 5, 2008 09:07 PM (GMT)
I really like it also..simple but very fun....

Riverwide - June 5, 2008 10:54 PM (GMT)
Well. I just watched the video premiere on Channel 4.

It's still very much a 5 out of 10 video. It actually looked even cheaper on TV for some reason.

Another low point videowise. Even the video for "Jump" was better. In fairness though, it's actually preferable to the video for "Sorry", but that's not really saying much...

Fembot 1 - June 5, 2008 10:59 PM (GMT)
Yeah I just watched it too. It's not exactly bad, it's just such a non-event...which for an artist like Madge feels fucked up somehow.

And for a second single too. It has the look of a video made for a fourth or fifth single release.

It's simply not good enough.

Too true. She really doesn't give a shit anymore.

She really isn't. It's pretty clear that the only real promo being done is through promotional tie-ins with TV shows, mobile phone companies etc. She's not prepared to directly properly promote her music anymore.

I wonder if this is because it's the last album for Warners, and that it might be different with the first LiveNation album...

I'm desperately clutching at that straw too! :lol2:

It's a straw alright!

I think it's likely that she's heading down the Rolling Stones route of touring regularly and chucking out the odd album for old time's sake.

this all is way too depressing. i can't wait for this era to be over. she considers herself being more a brand than an artist these days. the words lame and boring spring to mind when trying to define this project. frankly, we should just hope a third single is not on the cards. she got her usa redio hit, which seems it was her only ambition this time around, so she should just call it a day for a while.

oh wait, i forgot about the tour :manson:

Riverwide - June 5, 2008 11:33 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I never thought I'd agree with anyone suggesting that she stop at 2 single releases from an album, but I agree. I enjoy the actual music, but every other aspect to this whole era has been very lacklustre. This arrogance and/or ennui of hers is really becoming very grating. It's not that I ever felt exactly *connected* to Madonna, but I've certainly never felt more *disconnected* from her than I am right now. She's simply not sending anything out there for people to latch onto and connect to. She's utterly detached from her audience now. I barely even think about her anymore either.

FuckBuddy - June 5, 2008 11:56 PM (GMT)
don't get me wrong, i'm actually enjoying this video quite a lot, and i'm aware i'm one of the few who do so. still, it's quite evident she's not interested in expressing her artistic drive through her persona as a pop megastar. she can show off her toned body for as much as she wants to, but there should have been a good reason to back it up. she's not even bothered to come up with a half decent, semi original storyline for one of her videos, and we should not forget this is the actual medium that elevated her to a modern icon. once people were talking about the issues she was trying to raise through her imageries. nowadays, all i hear about is discussions on how fabulous she looks at the age of 50. yes she does look fabulous, but so does almost every other celebrity on the pages of weekly magazines.

and don't even get me started on the music. half of the album already sounds very mediocre, and that's just a little over a month since its release.

LeToya Abdul - June 6, 2008 12:12 AM (GMT)
I don't think I've ever been *less* excited for a video release than this...for me personally, GI2M is a bit too stale to be a single, compared to Beat Goes On, which to me sounds a bit more radio-friendly, if only for the Kuntye Wheat rap.

Ah, screw it - I don't know what I'm talking about - I've had a bit too much on my mind today anyway... :sadalexz:

Manu Alexz - June 6, 2008 12:29 AM (GMT)
NON-EVENT that's the word I've been looking for for so long. She in the video, is just there with a hat... so damn boring.

FuckBuddy - June 6, 2008 12:45 AM (GMT)
this entire era is a non-event. it's as if we're still waiting for the follow up to confessions.

johnnox - June 6, 2008 08:58 AM (GMT)
I'm with Fuck Buddy in the fact I like it.

Its not stunning, it's not revolutionary but I think she looks great, I like her outfits, I love the way it's shot ... it's what Deeper and Deeper should have been.

The only thing I'm not keen on is the Hung Up style mirror and exercise routine or falling down at the end because she needs a hip replacement.

Oh, it was on TV and I missed it. What a pity. If she was filming that video in my street, I don't think I'd bother opening the curtains to watch it.
