Well, I'm not sure how fast I can read, but roughly 105 pages an hour. It took me 6 1/2 hours to read Harry Potter 7 and about 25 min to read a 50 page book so...
I'm not a very fast reader... because if I try to read fast, I often "skip" loads of detail and such.
And, plus I don't read books often so I don't think I need to be a fast reader (Yes, yes... I think that will do for an excuse...)
For me, I guess it just depends on how interested I am in a book, and whether or not it has small print or a more difficult reading level. o.o; I can get through a book fairly quickly if it catches my interest and I can understand it. (Example: "Twilight" took me a few hours.) But if the book is huge with small print and I have no idea what it's saying, then I can't even get through the first chapter without falling asleep. xD (Perfect Example: I THOUGHT for my history class over break last year we were supposed to read one of the books on a reading list and write an essay about it. The first book I attempted to read was "Hirohito and the Making of Modern Japan". And good Lord, that book was huge. xD; It took me an hour to get through FOUR PAGES. But mainly because I kept falling asleep and my stepsister would have to wake me up. xD So I ended up reading a different book that took me like, two weeks to get through. And then I spent another week writing that essay. Turns out I was looking at an assignment for another class and wasted like 3 and a half weeks of my summer. xD; )
Kind of the same, except not as much like that. 0_o I never really fall asleep.
