This board thingy is for discussing how you became obsessed with our cute two-tailed fox, Miles "Tails" Prower!

When was the first time you saw him (If you can remember) and what triggered in your brain which made you start loving him? Is it his fuzzyness? His warmth? His friendlyness or the overwhelming fact that he has two tails and is the greatest thing in your life.

I for one started loving him after i watched the "Sonic movie" of the 1990's or so. I had not seen it for maybee 10 years and the way Tails looked so "Plush" (if i can say that) made me want to run up and hug him. Overall its the way tails would feel against your hand. I think he would be warm and fuzzy against your hand just like a healthy cat. Also the fact that he is a fox gave me a little shock and the speed at which I learnt about him made me want to start drawing him. I started sketching him a little and then a little more. I got better over time and every free moment I have in class i would start drawing him. Kat-thefox's drawings (on deviant art) of him made me snap into an artistic rage. I began messing around with photoshop and produced one not so good wallpaper but then i made THE gratest wallpaper of him in the history of tails wallpapers.

I've been liking Tails since I saw him in Sonic 2. I liked him in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, that I used to watch in the mornings.

I started liking Tails when I first saw him on a music video(From Sonic X) He was really cute, and I loved his appearance. I don't worship him or anything, but I would hug him eternally if he was real xD

When i was little, I loved cute things (I still do), and Tails was the cutest in the game. Once Cream came though she became my favorite.

I started loving Tails from like, the moment I saw him, which was in Sonic 2. I was a major mark for him, and still am =P

I guess I really got into him because of how down-right-adorable he is. I do admit that I thought he was a girl at first, though =/

Sincerely, I wasn't a Tails fan just the time when I see him. I watched Sonic Aosth every morning, and it was the first time when I could to see the great little fox who is too slow for Sonic. But, I played Sonic the hedgehog number one on Megadrive, and there were only Sonic and Eggman in the story. So, I preferred Sonic at that time... ^^"

And then, I get a new Sonic game on Game Gear when I was 8 about. It was Sonic 2 and, unlike the Megadrive version, Sonic had to issue Tails captured by Eggman recovering the seven emerald. But, as I wasn't good, I could never rescue Tails and I had already the bad ending. But, with the beautiful screen (a Tails's picture in the night sky) and the wonderful music, I had my first player sensation (as when you finish a game and that you remember all the good times passed on it. But we tell you that you must to leave that world because you have played your role... It's melancolic, you're sad and happy (in any case, this is what I feel for each Final Fantasy ending with the Prelude song)). And so, I have already tried to rescue Tails again and again... but, even today, I haven't succeeded... This ending is best Tails's picture that I have kept in my memory.

Then, I didn't played any Sonic game since seven years about. I was 15 and a cousin lent me a game : Sonic Heroes. I was ever a fan of the Sonic universe and of Tails and I was really happy to play again to a Sonic game. (I have passed 70 hours above it ! xD) And there, I caught up my lost time and I've played to SA2 too (why Tails don't want to leave his machine ? xD). And more I played, more I liked Tails more and more. And now, I can say that I love Tails and forever ! ^^ The main quality that I admire in Tails is his hope for trying to become like is best friend, Sonic : believe a little more in himself... :TailsSuperJump:

I love Tails because he is so cute and I like his ability to build machines.

I like tails because I can sometimes relate to him and what he's doing.
Also I like how hes standing out of the other sonic characters.
I saw tails the first time in AoStH, but back then he was just a normal character to me, but when I started watching Sonic X, I noticed his uniqueness and that he was really cute.

It's hard to say, really. I just thought he was cute. Then eventually, I became obsessed with foxes and kitsune, and...I *adore* Tails. :3

I love Tails for many reasons, not only is he cute, but he has a wonderful personality. He's intellegent, mature, polite and very well mannered. Also he is enthusiastic and imbitious; an inspiration. Also he is the very essance of my heart and soul. Without him today, I would not be alive at this point in time, and I love him very much. He is what keeps me going, he is my moral conscience, he is essentially who made me who I am today.

The first time I met the Foxy boy was like 5 years ago and that was when I was playing SA2B and I didnt really paid attention to him allthough sometimes he reacted funny and smart (perhaps that was one of the first things that I liked about him for it reflects me a litle :TailsAngel: )
A few years had past since I finished SA2B and Sonic X was coming on tv (still tails wasnt my favo, sonic was due to his speed and carefreeness).

When I started to watch the last episodes of sonic X: BAM!!!!! :TailsSuperJump: there was the Tails I like these days, He steped right into the spotlights and I liked how he reacted on many things: thoughtfull, wise and carefull.

It may also be the looks on his face that I liked about him his friendly smile for example. These days I am drawing him in differrent kind of pose I can think off.

I also like his personality: honest, carefull, smart, Humble, polite, thoughtfull, and above all He is verry friendly and wants to help people the best he can.

These days I want to be like him (I sometimes even wished I had 2 fox tails like him :TailsAngel: , though it might sound a litle childish and strange :TailsAshamed:

Thats how I became a great tails fan and I am having loads of screensavers of tails cuz he my biggest Hero... I want he would exist in real life and that we all could be great buddies with him :TailsSmile: .

I don't really know.. I just really like Tails!! ^^ he is such a cheerful character it seems and he never ever gives up. he has a lot of courage and faith and he is also very brave. i look up to tails in a way ^^

I like his intelligence. I can identify with him in a lot of ways.

I became a Tails fan after I watched my brother play Sonic 2. He was so cute, and I was amazed at how he could fly by spinning his two tails. Now I pretty much love him for his cuteness, and that he's just down-right awesome! Long live Miles "Tails" Prower!

Not to be picky, but when you say "love" do you mean like? as in favorite character? or as Love as "Relationship"? as i am not gay in any sort.

Well, Shadow, at first, use to be my favorite character, but my first and only Sonic game was, in fact Shadow the hedgehog, but whenever i saw Tails he just looked awesome, i looked him up, read the whole wiki page, and i became a Tails fan, he is quite interesting, with his 2 tails and all, very original, and i find his Intelligence quite special, as he knows a lot about Mechanics, which i tend to like, his ability to spin his Tails as if they were blades on a helicopter also interests me.

I'm assuming this topic means "strongly like as an intrest or favorite videogame character". If so then, believe it or not, forums did. I wasn't really too much of a tails fan until I started browsing around diehard tails forums.

If he can keep up with Sonic, that's instant win.

I started as a Sonic fan since it came out. I bought the first game soon after it was released (well my parents purchased it). Then when #2 came out...I found my new best buddy in gaming: Tails. I played as Tails more than Sonic. Then when the third game came out, I finished the game with Tails before I even touched Sonic. His ability to fly was great and I think being young, his cuteness appealed to me a bit more.

When the shows SatAM and AoStH were playing, I learned more about Tails as a character (actually the Archie comics showed me more). Anyway, I've always been like Tails in a lot of ways. Since I was young, I was considered somewhat of a prodigy, but like him I was always "too young" for stuff. So growing up, he and I were similar. Furthermore, I had a friend who was 3 years older than me and I always looked up to him. I share this relationship with my friend as Tails had with Sonic. Anyway, my similarities with him made me like him more. He appealed to me, and that was that.

I like Tails because:
He's Smart
Can Make all sorts of Gadgets
Able to Keep up with Sonic
Can Fly
And he's just so darn Cute :TailsAngel:

I don't really know how it started. At first I used to like Sonic more just because of his coolness back then. Later I just suddenly started to like Tails because he is pretty unique character and I like the way he thinks. At times he is easy to identify with, and I also like him just because he is a fox :]

In Sonic 2, the fact that he could fly made him instantly win at life. My love grew from there.

Though I could have done without his laziness in SA2 while riding on that robot >_>.

Well, I've been a huge fan of the Sonic games since I was 3-4 years old. I'm a sucker for cute things, and Tails in Sonic Adventure 1 was no exception. :P

I've thought a great deal about psychology and why people like certain things, colors, concepts, methods and have come to the conclusion that it will take more than me to work such a thing like this out. However ive noticed trends such as the color Light blue/sky blue being affiliated with tails. Flight also interests many Tails fans along with the concept of a home in the sky. Anthro also is a BIG factor. Well tails is an anthro fox which directly represents the majority of Anthro fans and the fur community. I think power too is a concept liked by many fans along with intelligence/wisdom.

Any thoughts? Id love to hear your opinions.

The fact that Tails can fly and hackers can make him fly infinitely oh and my parents had bought Sonic The Hedgehog 2 around a year or three after it was released and I always play as Tails in 1 player
