Techanically, he doesn't have a true rival. But some are considered, I guess. As said by NiGHTS, Eggman and Wave would probably be considered so. I would also Tails Doll but it doesn't like it as much.

I would have to say Eggman in most games, especially SA2:B, and Wave the Swallow in Sonic Riders. Anyone who competes with him in machinery would most likely be considered his rival. I don't think Tails Doll was much of a rival to him, though. He was kind of just an added character. Plus, they didn't really go against eachother in anything. They both just...raced. In Sonic R, everyone was kind of a rival to everyone, in a way.

Many people think that Eggman would be a rival to Tails, but wouldn't he be considered an enemy more? A rival, as I see it, is someone who you compete with; Like Sonic and Shadow. I know of no rivals that Tails may have...

I have always thought eggman, because of them competting over intelligence, but you can add wave now. Since she is kinda making him mad and is impressed at the same time over what he can do.

Enemies does not generally mean they are rivals. A rival would be someone who has almost some of the same abilities as one and likes to bring up competition (example: Sonic and Shadow in terms of abilities and speed, Tails and Eggman in terms of intellect, and Knuckles and Rouge in terms of power and destroying stuff).

Well in te games, Eggman and Wave, but he also has Mammoth Mogul (don't forget him!!) as a BIG rival.

Well, in Sonic Riders, Wave was a rival to him. But in the past games I would say Dr. Robotnik. He seemed like an enemy and a rival to Tails. After all, both of them have practicly the same IQ. So my vote goes for Dr. Robotnik.

I'm saying Eggman because on the STH2 Game, when Tails first appeared, he kidnapped him on the intro.

It'll have to be Robotnik, Tails doesn't really have any other rival. Too nice. Not that theres a problem with it.

Eggman is Tails' rival. They compete over their creations and fight with them. It seems to make sense as they're both genuises. Tails always wins, of course X3

in a sence he has many rivals, eggman, wave, in the comics, mammoth mongal (cant spell), in a way i guess in the earlier series when fiona was a robot, he loved her at first, then he didnt, now he does again, shadow in sonic x, yeah he basicaly shared the same rivals as sonic :blink: ,
