Miles Prower: Celestial Flight

For over the last month I have been working on a web comic about Tails. Some of you may know me from Sega of America or another forum. But if you're not aware of this comic, I'd like to let you be made aware of it :D.

Celestial Flight is a derivative work of the older Archie Comics. The story itself takes into account many things that happened up until #50 of the comics (Endgame) but then starts to take another turn on what Archie did to the story thereafter (which in my mind wasn't a smart choice). While some minor elements of the later Archie Comics take effect in Celestial Flight, they are not all there. You don't have to be familiar with the Archie Comics to enjoy Celestial Flight. And furthermore, the biggest difference between the two is that this story is focused on Tails, not Sonic.

Currently, I am working on the first issue which is to be released in less than two weeks. It will be published on my main site on August 1st! The first comic, Otherworldly Emissary, features Conner Adel, a person from another planet who comes to Mobius in search of someone. Meanwhile, Tails and Sonic are on an escapade running "errands" for King Max. Anyway, more to come soon, you can check out more at my website: http://www.miles-prower.com

And you can also check out some cool sneak peaks at: http://celestialflight.deviantart.com

Art Contest:
One last thing! I am holding an art contest for the release of the first comic. If you have a piece of Sonic-related art that you would like to submit, please by all means enter into this contest. All you have to do is send your artwork to
tails@miles-prower.com including your name/alias and age. Deadline is July 30th though, so make it snappy ;)

I'll choose three pieces of artwork to be published in this issue! Winners will be announced on the 31st!

Take care and enjoy the sun! :TailsHappy:

This update is copied from what I wrote in the Sega of America Forums in regard to the August 1st release date.

Ok, so I got word tonight of some very bad news. One of my good friends passed away this morning from seizures caused by a blood clot in her heart. I worked with her on many school projects and she was a very kind hearted person. I'll be gone a few days for her services and it is highly unlikely I can still make the August 1st deadline I made for myself. I'm still trying to figure out how long it actually takes me to finish these pages and therefore it is difficult to actually estimate a release date for a whole issue (of over 20 pages).

So I have decided to go about releasing the comic in a different way. And I think this way will cause me to have a whole lot less stress and it will make for more regular updates on the comic (originally I was thinking of releasing one full issue every two months--so 1 day of releases, 2 months of silence pretty much.)

I have a solution to this. Since each comic has 4 parts to it (much like the older Sonic Archie comics had) I will be releasing a part every 2 weeks. There will still be 4 parts in every issue, but this will allow me to be more consistent, achieve reasonable deadlines, and keep the site busy since there will be more new material (just in less quantity). This Wednesday, the 23rd, I will be releasing Part 1 of the first issue. Granted it's only 5 pages, but it will be something released. I may be able to make the August 1st date for part 2's release (this is pending and isn't set in stone). But we'll see.

Sorry about the delay, I hate breaking promises of release dates, it lowers my credibility and believe it or not, it sort of makes me feel disgusted with myself. But with the current circumstances of my friend and the inexperience of publishing works of art, I think it will be for the better in the long run.

I'll be on here very seldom these next few days as I attend the funeral and such. All in all, take care and enjoy the first part when I upload it this Wednesday.

(Also, the art contest is still available.)

Miles Prower: Celestial Flight

The web comic Celestial Flight has finally begun revealing itself to the world. As I have mentioned for the last month or so, the comic all about Tails releases its first part today! No more sneak previews, from now on all content will be new and fresh. Celestial Flight is a comic based around Miles "Tails" Prower. It involves him and his adventures as he grows up both physically and mentally. Over the course of the next few years, I hope to reveal the whole story behind Miles Prower. With some Archie Comics adaptations--rewinding back to its earlier issues--Celestial Flight adds some twists to Tails' fate as the Chosen One, as he's called by the Ancient Walkers.

So go ahead and check out the website at: http://miles-prower.com or start directly from the cover here: http://miles-prower.com/comics/Episode01/00.html Please feel free to explore the site and join the forums to chat and receive updates about the releases! Enjoy!
