Well, time for another book review that nobody will read...

The Fall is a book by French philosopher Albert Camus. In this book, former Parisian lawyer Jean-Baptiste Clamence tells of his past: his sucess in defending the poor and helpless of the city, how much he helped others out, and, eventually, his fall from grace. This book takes an interesting point of view: in this book, you the reader are a stranger that the narrator is talking to.

Anyways, this was an okay book. I would NOT recommend it if you doubt your reading abilities, as the prose can be very complex at times. If you can understand it, it can be an interesting book. Otherwise, you'll probably just be left wiht a headache.

Strangely I have read this...It was an indeed an interesting perspective from which the narrative was told. There were some interesting bits, but it does get hard to follow, especially if the reader isn't familiar with Albert Camus' philosophical perspective and where the narrative fits in it (I wasn't, and still am pretty fuzzy on it all). I plan on reading it more in the future - the first time through I didn't feel like I'd walked away with enough.
