One thing always makes me happy...expanding my artistic possibilitys. If you draw completely outside the box, everything inside the box becomes 100X better. So, I want to see if you would share the same enthusiasm! There's no pressure, you can take your time and draw these puppys up. I want you to use inspiration, sit down and let a drawing fill your mind's eye. In no particular order, I would be delighted to see you draw a picture of each one of these themes. here's your 12 pic challenge:


Draw your character(s) where they are:

1. In a kissing scene
2. In an epic fight scene between 2 people
3. An adult
4. A toddler
5. Angry over an object
6. Happy over an object
7. A mechanized version
8. A "super" version
9. totaly nude (no porn please)
10. totaly OVERdressed
11. An overexcess of detail
12. As basic as you can make it



No doubt some of you would have done some of these before. If that's so, take it upon yourself to expand on that and create somthing even more outside your box...er...but carefull with expanding on the nude part, as I said I don't want to see any porn. xD

If you have trouble with coming up with somthing, contact me for a diffrent challenge.

I would join, but I mostly only have one D= Is that ok? For the kissing scene I'd do Dash and Missy, but mostly they would all be about the only character I have >> That'd be a little boring... wouldn't it?

1: It doesn't matter. You can use any character, your own, official, or mine if that's what you want. I encourage you to use your own to broaden your character.

2: Review previous answer. xD

3: Make them even older

4: Make them even YOUNGER. I doubt anyone here has any new born babys as characters. XP

5: Er, I ment as their original age, BUT if you want to make them a diffrent age be my guest. ^^

6: See previous answer

7: Mechanized. There is no limit on what style it should be, just make them a cool looking robot. xD

8: Or Turbo Tails, or Hyper Sonic, or Ultra Sonic...make up a superform for your character.

9: I would actualy encourage you to take your most clothed character and nuding them. If all your characters are just gloves and shoes...take off the gloves and shoes. You'de be suprised how diffrent a character looks without shoes on. XP

10: I had in my mind a character you normaly dress in just gloves and shoes to be stocked with winter wear. Big warm jacket, woal pants, mittins, hat, scarf, belt...just put alot of clothes on them.

11: Shading, figure, wrinkles, eyes, fingers...I want this picture to even show the fingernails through the glove. I don't care how bad you draw, I want to see your ugliest detailed picture.

12: As basic as you can make it without loosing the general shape of the character. Only put the most essential lines down so they know it's that character.




To Hiroko: Lol! Here, there, anywhere. XP

To Missy: If you stop just because you have one character, you're cheating yourself out. If you truly beleve it'll be boring, you can take other characters if you need to and use them instead. Although I think this would be good development for Missy, but it's your choice how you would want to proceed. ^^

Hmm... this ought a be fun... Count me in... I always want to improve my drawing ability so this would help a lot :TailsSmile: .

Great idea... Though I can't work on it for a week, starting next Friday. going on a vacation trip to Germany if I am correct. Befor that time I think I can have the kissing scene done... I hope... :TailsAngel: .

Tails: Very creative, very good. She looks like a grown up lady with that dress and hairstyle. I'm impressed that your actualy taking this challenge seriously, very good. ^^ This challenge helps with design, and I beleve you captured that quite well.

Missy: Lol! I honistly don't see what's inapropriate, but okay. XP Very romantic, the lines between the lips look great, and it's a picture I can probibly be proud of. Very cool Missy, keep trudgin along. ^^ This challenge deals with positioning, mood of picture (most likely romance), and characterization. I don't know missy, so I don't know if feet around his hips is Missy like, but I'll trust you on that one.

Hmm....I might take this challenge....

and with the super form, the only thing I have that's close to one is my main character's dark form. What if I did just that?

(I don't think there is a first place, there isn't even a prize xD, this is just for fun =P)

Morgan: Well do something for number one. xD It doesn't have to be romantic, it could also be comedic....but I do encourage romance.

As for the superform, I didn't say bring back an old whatever form...I said MAKE UP a superform. XP Give Morgan a superform, even if it's non-canon...which it probibly will be for most people.



Hiroko: Oh my GOSH! Your babies are soooo cute! I love em, totaly awsome. the point of the challenge was design and the capture of a cuter version of the general idea of the character. I think you did that beutifly, so cute so much like how they are grown up, but with baby stuffs. xD

The adults are awsome too. VERY good prediction of design, I like what you did with them alot. Shadys burn marks, change in Casey's clothes...very creative, I'm very impressed with your art so far. Keep em coming Hiroko, those were great! ^^

I noticed too you said the babies were fun to make. Yes, it's very true that making somthing outside the box and diffrent is very fun to make, and also opens and expands things a bit. That's the very reason I wanted to make this challenge, for the fun and learning you get out of it. ^^

For the first one, I'm serious. People will start hating me.

Don't say that Morgan D: It's only a contest, no big deal O_o;;

Yeah I know...but one look and then, "Morgan has her character paired up with an official? She is so unoriginal!"

Actualy, as much as some people hate it, there's ALOT of people who do that, they're especialy everywhere on DA =3 *Shadow has armies of fan-made girlfriends... xD*

Hiroko: Nnnnnnnniiice! That is one saweeet battle scene. Dramatic, emotional, epic. You caught a very nice moment in your picture. The point of this one is the ability to capture what's going on between the two characters in one picture, and positioning is a major practice here. I beleve that's been captured quite nicely in this pic. Although, I will say the villain in that pic looks slightly akward in that pose, but I can relate. Looking at a character from that angle is supah hard to do. Though, in actuality, you did it 100X better than I can get it. XP so congradulations on that one, very good. I'll perfecting that position it with you. ;)


Morgan: Superform looks basic. What I want to see is doing somthing that will set Morgan's superform apart from the rest. Turning all the blue into gold just doesn't cut it for me. Like for Sonic J, for example, I turned all the blue to gold AND I turned all the black stripes on him into purple. That gold/purple combination really makes him pop out and makes him look cooler, and sets him apart from other super forms.

Knee caps, elbow caps, muscle structure, individual strands of quil, detailed pupils, that's the kind of stuff I was wanting to see. I want to see characters as if they were real. But I'll accept that drawing if you feel you can't draw the detail, I understand how frustrating the Detail/basic challenges can be for some people. Some can do detail but not basic, some basic but no detail.

Whatever, I know I stink.

O_o Woah, I didn't mean that as an insult Morgan, I'm simply saying what I intended for the challenge. You don't stink at all, your art is fine. :TailsShock:

Whatever TT_TT whatever I draw takes hours anyway, it's not like I don't work hard on them or anything like that.

I never assumed you didn't, and I'm very gratefull you drew some pics for the challenge. If I see somthing that's not quite what I intended for the challenge though, I'm going to voice it. This is about self improvement, trying to go beond the bounds of your own art. I'm only trying to suggest things that could help with that. I'm sorry if it hurt your feelings, that wasn't my intention at all. :(

CLF.. Everybody hurts my feelings. They tell me, Morgan is unoriginal! And **** like that, and it drives me nuts. Everytime I get something up...BAM! Critisism on how she looks like. Well not here of course...

Well...tell me what I'm supposed to do then. I'm sure you wouldn't want me to lie to you and just let things pass that shouldn't. I'm not those people who over-critisize your characters or mulches the work you tried to do. Morgan, what I'M trying to do is just let you know what I expect from these challenges, not if your characters are good enough. Your characters ARE good enough, but for this challenge good enough isn't good enough cause I'm trying to break people out of their current boxes. If you have a grudge against people who have hurtfully critisized you in the past, I would like to ask kindly that you don't take it out on me. I'm trying to help you Morgan, I'm not out to punish you. :TailsAshamed: Again, I'm sorry I hurt your feelings, and I would like it if you tried continuing with the challenge. :(

Woah! Oh my gosh, Virnida! xD

I'll just say ahead of time, these reviews are only based on what I'm looking for in terms of this challenge, and to take them all with a grain of salt. Your drawing very well, and you will improve.

Adult: nice attempt with the jacket, but could you try to go even further to make her grown up? Maybe change her hairstyle, give her aging wrinkles, maybe a "grey hair" here and there. xD I wanna see her grow up.

Toddler: Ahahaha, cute. XP I like the eye color change, obviously it has somthing to do with the character's story which I apreciate. ^^ The diaper's a nice touch, and small...real small..in fact so small it seems she has no choice but to sit in a picture with an abundance of negative space. XP Good pic, I like that one. ^_^

Angry items: Lol, although I would've actualy liked to see her doing somthing horrific to one of the items she hates, the idea and epression I can accept. XP Hands down to the side very straight, gritting teeth, angry eyes...it seems you know how "angry" looks. Though do be carefull, your mouth ALMOST looks like it's smiling. XDDDD The idea is also acceptable, I would consider it creative to have the items surounding your head in thought while you're just revolting their presence. >_< xD

Happy items: Again more action would've been nice, but I actualy almost started laughing when I saw this pic. xD I like the arms, grabbing to the side with that dreamy face, very girly happyness I like it.

Nude: LOL, She's a happy naked fox! XDDDDD That's cheap, she was nude already. XP You wouldn't happen to have a character that's clothed would you? If you don't, I could give you an official character instead.

Epic battle: The idea is hilarious. xD Your character looks sadistic in that pic, my goodness. O_o I'm going to dare to say though, what I'm looking for in an epic fight scene is a story between the characters. This particular image is lacking that. It's a great concept, but I would've loved to see some kind of personal connection between the two characters. Even with comedy, there's somthing going on that would make them fight. Don't get me wrong though, I am very happy with the attempt, you went out of the box with this one. Funny, good thought. ^^

Superform: I like the background too, that came out really nicely. ^^ I like the superform a whole bunch, it's very interesting with the glowing eyes of diffrent colors. Though that does give me a thought...why would then she be yellow energy with those uniquely colored eyes? Mmmmm...maybe somthing to think about. *lifts eye brow*

Basic: For some reason, THIS pic is what came alive the most for me. I don't know, maybe the cartoony eyes, the cartoony body, but to me its very animated and probibly my favorite out of the whole thing. Circles and gestures can really bring a cartoon character to life.


Overall review: Your trying, I can really see your trying, and it really makes me happy to see you acomplishing this challenge so well. ^^ My only thought is you should work on putting more action into your drawings, gestures with the body. But I think that will probibly improve with age. Your still young, and it's incredible what you've been doing for your age. So I can just say take ALL of my reviews with a grain of salt, keep drawing, and I can't WAIT to see what the final 4 pics will be like. ^^
