since espios shoes/gloves are cloths and not part of his body when he turns invisible shouldn't they stay visible?

if his scales aceive this by bending light I geuss his gloves and shoes could be made of a material that does the same

maybe he has a way of controlling it like a slight change in body temperature or electrical discharge(like eel but much smaller) that it reacts to
