Title: Boy

I'm not sure if this goes here.
Have you heard of a book writer named Roald Dahl? Well I read an autobiograhy about him and I feel kinda sorry for his life. :tsmile15:
According to the book, it said that when his father was 14, he had a job of fixing a roof of somebody's house then he fell down and broke his left arm below the elbow. Then someone else called the doctor and then half an hour later, the doctor came and he was so drunk that he mistook his elbow of a dislocated shoulder. (A dislocated shoulder means the shoulder is not in the right place.) Then he got 2 men to pull his left arm as hard as he can and unfortunately they did so much damage that a splinter of a bone was sticking out through the skin of the forearm. Man that hurts... So he had to manage everything with one hand. 4 fingers and a thumb... but that was the left arm that he lost. He did many things. He can tie shoelaces as quickly as you and Roald and for eating he sharpened the bottom edge of the fork so that he could use it as a knife and fork. The only thing that he couldn't do is cutting the top off a boiled egg.
My god, imagine you were his father and that happened to you when you were 14! Man that should hurt...
EDIT: The name of the book is called Boy. Go get the book if you don't believe me...

I like Roald Dahl's humor, though I never read books to be honest. Matilda was brilliant, the film that is =P

Oh yeah. I like his humor too. "The Witches" was funny. xD Though he had an experienced life of the tragedies.

Matilda was a good story, though. The movie made me happy. c:
And that sucks that he lost his arm. D: At least it wasn't by a chainsaw. lulz.

Today that would be OMG LAWSUIT GIVE ME 10 BILLION DOLLAR :TailsMad: ... even though he probably deserved at least some kind of repayment for that doctor doing that...

That's true. When his father married, the wife died when giving birth to the second child. He has 2 children now. When he married another woman, she gave birth to 4 childrens. 3 girls and 1 boy (Roald) Now they have 6 children. When Roald was only 3, 1 girl died by appedicitis, which was also the same age of another girl who died by measles. Then the father had pneumonia and he had to fight but he refused so he died.
2 tragedies happened.
1: the two sisters.
2: The father.
*sighs* This is so harsh that lately.

I've read all of it! It was pretty good, and I sometimes dip in and out of it now and again...

Another fact: When Roald became older, in his school that was a cathedral school, fountain pens were forbidden. Then he whispered to the person next to him for his nib since Roald's nib was broken then he got caught of talking to the person next to him and he acussed him that the person next to him was helping him on his work and that Roald was cheating and got sent to the principal.
I was like OMG That's harsh.

I used to love Roald Dahl's books! Both of the Chocolate FActories were good, and so was Harriet the Spy! I read so many of those books, but I can't remember them all!
