Ok so I've read some Sonic sites and some of them say Egg man's iq is 300. But I've read some that say it's 500 to 1,000. What do you think it is? I think it's probly 300 or may be 400. I'm not to sure though.

I think the official IQ for Eggman is 300, although I have no proof. I know that it can't be 500 or higher though because that's just physically impossible for someone Eggman's age. Let me explain:

An IQ test score, from what I understand, is a person's mental age divided by their physical age and multipled by 100. So let's suppose Eggman's IQ was 500 for a moment. That would mean that he is 5x his mental age from his actual physical one. (just divide by 100) Now suppose that Egghead is, Oh, let's say, 50 years old, 'kay? Well multiply 50 yrs times 5 and you get that Eggman would have to have the mental capacity of a person who's been alive for 250 years! That's just not possible! Even if Egghead had an IQ of 300, that would still make him as wise as a 150 year old man, which is more reasonable since Eggman really is pretty smart.

(On a side note: Tails' official IQ I hear is 400, which is technically higher than Eggman's, but it makes sense because he's younger. Even if Tails is only 10 years old, that means he only needs the knowledge of a 40 yr old to get an IQ of 400.)

True but you do have to concider that Sonic is a cartoon. Those rules might not really apply.

Yeah, you got a point there. If Sonic and friends can breathe normally in outer space and defy the laws of physics regularly, then it's very possible that their IQ system is different than ours. Still, that's a pretty weak excuse unless Sega, Sonic Team, or 4Kids have proof stating otherwise.
Also, Tails' official age is different for almost every series and game ever created, but if you assumed that he was 8 yrs old and had an IQ of 300 that would give him a mental age of 24. Nah, Tails is smarter than that! ;D

In Fiction can decide on what is true and what is not. For example you can let a hedgehog run faster than sound. Leaving a Fox with and IQ of 200 and 2 tails (read either the SA2B manual or the sonic Heroes manual and you will find those numbers) an eggformed guy with a sinister mind, which is needed for a bad guy and an infeasible high IQ of 300.

If I am correct eggman's IQ was officially made 300 and Tails' 200. In the manual it's said that Tails' skills RIVAL those of eggman but are not equal.

In the manual's it's not said what the age was of Eggman. Normally in the Sonic Heroes Game manual, the characters age is displayed leaving Sonic with an age of 15, Tails with an age of 8 (with a little bit of mathematics he would be 15/16 years old by now if his prescription is that same as ours) and Knuckles with an age of 16.
Eggman on the other hand stands with the Age of Unknown so the only thing we could do is Guess his age he is at least 50 years old that's for sure.

I've read that both Tails's and Egg man's iqs are 300. That would make since since there supposed to rival eachother. But what you said Theirry"trueaim"prower makes since to.

Yeah, I'm starting to think that there is no 'official' IQ for Eggman and Tails since it changes from game to game just like the Sonic character's ages do. I've even heard that the manuals for the same game have said different things in the Japanese and American versions of each other, and even one game (wish I remembered which one now) has two different ages for Tails in the manuals for it on two different consoles, but both are the American release versions! :wacko:
With inconsistancies like these, I doubt we'll ever know the true age or IQ of Eggman or Tails!

Sonic Team stated that Eggman´s and Tails´s IQ are "almost the same", while stating that Eggman´s IQ is 300.
