... Is SEGA and Sonic Team puting things in the sonic series that link to Nintendo and their rivial-ness? (this is totally creepy mind you)

1. Knuckles is rivals with Sonic in the first games, and Knuckles is red.
~Nintendo's main color is red and Sonic is only blue to match SEGA's logo colors. Is this ironic or on propose? o_o

2. Robotnik (Eggman) is red -like Mario- and has a mustache -like Mario-!
~Sonic's enemy is Eggman and his rival for best gamed is Mario. Is this ironic or on propose? o_o

3.Sonic has Chaos Emeralds that make him super and pretty much invencible(how do you spell that) MArio has the Power Stars that do the same thing. Is this ironic or on propose? o_o

Other than that, I can't think of any others... Post any other comparesons or what you think!

but yeah I've notised that, not sure if it was on purpose or not, although it very well could be, after all SEGA does what nintenDon't. xD

So, if something is red, it´s Nintendo? Geez, little kids like the colourful characters. That´s why Sonic is blue, Amy is pink, Knux is red, etc.

I´m sorry, this is total bullcrap. Just because a Sonic character has a red outfit, is fat, and has a mustache, doesn´t mean it´s somehow connected to that plumber.
I saw a fat man wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, and he had a mustache! Guess what, he isn´t connected to Nintendo or Mario! =O

I thought the Power Stars are the same as Sonic´s Invincibility boxes. But ALMOST EVERY PLATFORMER HAS SOME SORT OF AN INVINCIBILITY ITEM, DID YOU KNOW? =O

It's neither. What with these games being on old-ish consoles, and what with the games also having their target audience as children, they SENSIBLY chose bright and attractive colours, like Red.

Doctor Eggman has a rash on his face?! No... He's dressed in Red, because Red is an "evil" colour. (Although it also means Passion like Green means Jealousy ;)). Again, like I said for the previous statement, they were using bright colours to make the whole game look more appealing to the target audience.

If anything, the Invincibility Monitors are more like Mario Stars, but you are successfully missing a vital point here - The majority of platformers aimed at a young audience tend to have some sort of invicibility power up.

There you go - there are my thoughts on you thinking too deeply into something that doesn't need to be thought about.

Yeah, I know my logic is BS. xD which is why I spout it. I think it isn't anybody's right to say if this is true- like i might make it sound like it is. I know this is BS, lol. It's just funny! ^_^ I had always found these out when I first started liking Sonic- and I was originally a Mario n00b so.... x3
And that last part, about the power stars, I just said and did not think too far ahead about. That is like saying the Crystals on Crash Bandacoot is coping the Chaos Emerald.

The Crystals in Crash Bandicoot do not make Crash invincible and Super Human Bandicoot, they are just power crystals that are needed to advance in the game; whereas in the Sonic games, generally the Chaos Emeralds are not a necessary part of the story (especially in the early Sonics). Neither Mario or Crash can be related to Sonic in the way of Chaos Emeralds, IMO.
