Woo, notes and announcements and things. This place is getting a little dull.. Lets try and get some things going again!

1. Halloween event!

A halloween event should be announced soon. We're planning some special prizes for this one, so stay tuned! Ideas for this so far have been chaos emerald hunts, trick or treating (Somehow) and of course drawing. We'll be thinking of more though, so hopefully I can let you know a bit more about this ASAP.


2. I'm back. Yey. <:

This should be obvious based on the sheer fact that i'm even posting the announcements section. =P This time around, i'm a full fledged admin, however. Please PM me if you need help with anything, or if you have any suggestions for TTFF, and i'll be sure to tend to them as fast as I can.


3. Opinions on: The current board software.

I've asked this one a few times, but i'd like some personal answers for this round. Please PM me your opinions on how you would feel on switching to a new software for TTFF, about the date of the current software, or of your bias toward the current software. Anything reguarding this place and improvements. This doesn't nesseccarily mean its gonna happen, so don't flip over this one. I'm just asking for some input from the members here on what their preference on this issue is for my own personal interest.

Also, please tell me what you'd think about a new skin as well.

(As it currently stands before this topic was made, most members agree that a software change and/or a new look of the board isn't nesseccary and should not be done. Please PM me your opinions! :) )


4. Regaurding proxies

This has long been an issue here, and I think its time to put this to an end. I've yet to garner opinions on this from the rest of the staff yet, but i'm going to be leaning toward banning anyone who chooses to use a web proxy here to hide their IP address. TTFF staff will never use information that could possibly be gathered by your IP to track you, harass you, and/or jepordize your safety in any way, shape, or form. There is no need for you to hide you IP here unless you are intentionally sidestepping an IP-block enforced ban from the boards. There have been too many problems with this in the past, and it needs to stop.

The rest of the skins originally on the TTFF skin selector will be here shortly. (If you have any suggestions for a skin to be added, please post here or PM me)

-Riikka and another veteran member have reappeared recently after a extravagantly long department from the forums. Whether this is permanent hasn't been confirmed.

-Super Mod Speed-X has retired.

-Halloween event is coming up.

-Neku claims there are demons. Kotetsu defends against this claim, insisiting that neku is the demons. More on this after the break.

As far as I can remember, the staff had decided against that one because it wasn't sonic-themed. But i'll mention it.

Do we pm the skin we want? Or do we post it here?

IMO I think we could use a Shadow skin, Omega skin, Rouge Skin, and a Chaotix skin. You don't have to do all of them though.

The original shadow skin will be up soon. As for Omega, Rouge, and Chaotix, i'll see what I can do.

Trust me on this one - it makes everything much easier...

-inbuilt skin selector - no configuration needed!
-different skins -can- have different buttons and a different board logo, and completely different images altogether!
-ability to implant youtube videos easily into posts!
-the report system ACTUALLY WORKS!
-Name change system works way better - no more seeing your old name on old posts!

Of course, skins will have to be converted into ZB format, but you've made a convertor, HAVEN'T YOU, CRYS?

but of course if we convert and test all the skins before converting, we could have the whole forum converted in under a day! Maybe even under an hour if we have different staff working on configuring different things!

And, reguarding ZB, I asked trixie about this already. She said she wouldn't understand the admin CP and that she's comfortable here and etc. Sorry guys.

when you get the hang of it (which takes about the 10 minutes to learn if you're used to IF) it's way easier than IF

Zeta WOULD be a proper revamp, though. And I doubt people will stay satisfied with only receiving new skins as updates forever.

For some reason Zetaboards looks odd to me D: (maybe since I'm so used to IF)

Definately it has more features. I guess I'd just not be used to it, so it would take me a little bit of time to get used to...

But being easier? Dunno. 'Cause IF is what I'm used to, apparently. :P
