Title: CFATW RP Tourney
Description: Care to join?

Roronao - November 5, 2008 02:13 AM (GMT)
Alright, I'm suggesting a forum-wide tournament called the "Clash From Around the World" tournament. This will, of course, be an RP tournament. What I'm planning to do with this is have about 16 people sign up (anybody from the forum, villain or hero or neutral) and well, we shall have a tournament. There will be four stages. First, it will be 2v2 battles with all the sixteen fighters. That shall reduce it to eight. Then, we shall do 2v2 battles with the eight fighters, which shall reduce it to eight. We will stage the semifinals, and the winner of those go to the finals. Then we will have the finals, and then we crown the champion. I know a few forums who have done this and it has turned out amazingly well. Technically, this tourney is to draw at all the strongest fighters across the land, match them and see who will turn out on top. Yet again, anybody can join. Here are the rules:

1: DON'T USE SCRIPT FORMAT, PLEASE. I personally hate script format. I just hate it. This isn't the only reason I'm saying no to it. Script format makes battles ten times more confusing and hard to follow then just regular third-person writing. Please don't use script format.

2: This should be a given, but DON'T GOD-MOD. If I see anybody god-modding unfairly, I will tell them about it just to warn them. If I see them continuously repeating it, I will disqualify them from the RP. Sounds harsh, but that's the result of god-modding. Nothing ever good can come from it.

3: If you leave a battle hanging for more than five days (e.g. not posting in it) without informing us that you are leaving beforehand, you will be disqualified from the tournament. If you tell us beforehand or before your five day period is up that you won't be able to post for a while, I can stretch that date a bit longer, but I'm certainly not going to wait more than a week and a half. So try and get your posting done please.

4: If/when you lose your battle, feel free to remain in the RP and watch the remaining battles. You can do other stuff outside of the tournament, like check out the scenery, go shopping, hit a restaurant with a few other friends who have lost their battles. However, you don't have to remain in the RP after you lose a battle. Please do make one exiting post though so that we know you're gone. This rule also goes for those who were disqualified by the grand master, me.

5. The battle will be placed on a floor something that I imagine to be like this. If you step out of the ring, you lose. If you are knocked down and out flat for ten seconds, you're out. Those are the only rules, asides from no killing other characters. I'm sure that's also a given though.

Those are the only rules that I can think of off the top of my head, but I might add more later. Sign up if you will. And have fun.

Also, I will be the narrator of this story. I'll start it and control the flow of the events, and I'll also be signing up my character, Absolon Tuckis. Go crazy.

Signed up for the RP

Not to be mean, but shouldn't this be in the rp section?

And, you're supposed to get permission before posting up contests.

*facepalmed*

I see. I think that I'm actually more in the wrong forum, because I'm trying to make this more of an RP ya know? I had seen another RP Tournament posted in the contest section, so I assumed that this would be the same. So, do you mean that you have to have permission to start an RP? Because technically I'm trying to make this more of an RP than a contest, but I apparently posted in the wrong forum.

Mods feel free to move at will.

You need permission to make a contest...it's okay to make an rp without permission from the staff. But if this is in fact an rp...than it should go in the rp section.

Okay, sorry, I got confused. I couldn't see any posted RP Discussions/Invitations in the RP section. Anyways, I might as well wait for a mod.

Lu lu la la luuu~

When this all gets sorted out, I'd love to join as Zeb. I can drop out if I cant be on for a while, right?

Yeah, you can drop out at any time, I'll sort it out. You don't have to drop out for a week and a half though if you tell me beforehand as said, and I'll probably give you even more time if it's during the first round since I can just assign all the other matches before yours. So anyways, I'll add you on as now, and you can tell me about the situation later.
