Title: *insert best title ever here*
Description: I cannot think of a name.

Epic P. - November 14, 2008 09:53 AM (GMT)
Here is the beginning of a story I was writing in my spare time today.

Don't blame me, I've never written a long story before. ;_;

*deep breath* Okay, here goes.

DONK!!
"Advantage, server!" The referee yelled, and Tails smiled. He knew he was going to own this guy. He threw the ball up, and DONK!! went the recket, sending the ball over. The opposing player swung, and sent it out, signaling the end of the game. "Game!" The referee called out, sending the crowd into applause. Tails bowed and shook the beaten player's hand. He scanned the crowd, but he wasn't there. Tails sighed, not completely surprised. Sonic hadn't been to any of his recent games.
Tails placed his racket gently inside the case and slung the case onto his back. Slightly pissed, he started a brisk walk over to his college, where he lived. Maybe Sonic would be there, he thought. Maybe he was there, but he had to leave or something.
Laying his case on his bed, he sat down on his chair in his dorm. Of course, Sonic wasn't here either. He sighed inwardly. "What to do, what to do.." he muttered while pacing the floor. He stopped when his stomach growled. Smiling, he slipped on his shoes, grabbed his wallet and keys, and slammed the door on his way out.
Standing before Tails was a small building grease odors wafting from it with about fifteen cars parked in front of it. Tails smiled at it. "Ah, home sweet home...of heart attacks." Tails walked into the building, ignoring the bright neon sign that read, "Tony's Burger Place".
Slumping into his usual booth, Tails waited for his waiter. He couldn't help but think about Sonic skipping his game. I mean, sure, he could've missed this one, but he had missed five! His priorities had been out-of-whack ever since he had accepted Amy's date. Now that they were going out, Tails couldn't help but feel lonely, without his best friend beside him.
"Ah, Tails, what are you doing here?" A familiar voice asked. Tails looked up and smiled. His good friend Miri stood there, pad and pen in hand, ready to take an order. You see, Miri is in Tails' Biology class, and they have a lot in common. They both want a good education, and they are both very smart. Miri was a snow white hedgehog who normally worea blue jacket and black pants. Her shoes were green, matching the color of her eyes. She wore a solid green bow in her hair as well.
"To eat no doubt? I'll take a cheese burger, fries, and an iced tea." Tails informed her. Miri scribbled down on her pad what he wanted. "Anything else?" She asked. Tails shook his head. "Well then, I'll be back with that drink of yours." Miri flashed a dazzling smile and left.
Tails barely had time to blink before another familiar voice said, "Hey buddy! What are ya doin'?" Tails turned to see Sonic, standing beside him. Sonic smiled, but Tails didn't smile back. Sonic frowned. "What's wrong?" He asked, taking an unoffered seat. That did it: Tails snapped. "Nothing much. Oh, hey, did you have anything important to do today? Hm?" Tails blurted. He was shocked at himslef, but didn't want to take it back.
Sonic frowned in concentration. "Well, I had a date with Amy, I went to the store..." He trailed off, a wave of shock crossing his face. "Oh snap... Your game!" He said, with a shocked tone in his voice. "My God, I'm so sorry!" He babbled on. Tails looked away. "I woke up, got breakfast, and then Amy called..." He looked sheepish. Tails sighed. "It's okay. The next game is the final, thoguh, so you have to be there." He informed him, still a little mad.
"Well, here's your meal, and who's this?" Miri set the plate down and looked at Sonic. Tails smiled. "Miri, this is Sonic. Sonic, Miri." Sonic shook Miri's hand, and she blushed. "Do you want anything?" She asked. Sonic shook his head. Miri shrugged, and left.
"Tell me when your next game is when you get back, okay?" Sonic said. He then rushed out the door. Tails smiled. Same old Sonic, he thought. Remembering the burger below him, he sniffed. Man, did it smell nice. He picked it up and began to dig in.
"Here is your check." Miri set the check in front of him. Tails looked at it. $11.97. He got out fifteen dollars and put them on the table. He got up to leave, when he hears, "Be careful, Tails!" Tails smiled back at Miri before walking out the glass doors.
