Morgan the Hedgehog - November 30, 2008 05:11 AM (GMT)
Okay so Idiot me forgot to write the fifth chapter to my fanfic. Well I Finally got to it. Oh and the reason why I started a new topic is well...I was scared to touch the last topic :T8: Oh and the usual...comment and I'll try to get up the next chapter and I also love critisism on my writing.

Here's the link to Chapters 1-4 Rise of New Heroes Volume Two

By the way, I'm still searching for a title. Currently I'm thinking of an Idea Neku gave me awhile ago. "The Chronicles of Morgan the Hedgehog", however, I think there may be something else I really want other than this, sorry, Neku!

Chapter five: Hurricane

Tails was working in the garage back at the house. The garage was cluttered with scrap metal, and oil was all over the place. A little music was playing on the small stereo next to him. He held a wrench in his right hand, and a pencil behind his right ear. He was staring at a block of wood, wondering what to do with it. Tails hummed to the music on the radio as he studied the wood block.

“Tails!” Tanya shouted as she barged through the door holding a rolled up piece of paper.

“BWAA!” Tails barked as he jumped. The pencil fell out of his ear and he dropped the wrench on his workbench.

Tanya walked towards the startled fox. “Sorry,” she said as she scratched the back of her head, “I didn’t mean to scare you.”

Tails bent down and picked up the pencil. “It’s okay Tanya,” he said as he stood up. “Next time could you try knocking?”

Tanya nodded happily. “Of course! I just got a little overexcited, that’s all.” She held up the rolled up paper that was in her hands. “You see I finished the design for my plane that I wanted you to help me build!”

Tails smiled. “Well that’s great, Tanya! Mind if I take a look?”

“Now why wouldn’t I let you look at it?” she said as she shoved the wood block away and replaced it with the paper. She unrolled the paper and held the ends of it with her hands.

Tails moved his head forward to look at the design. His eager smile turned to a frown as if he saw the ending of a suspenseful movie of which was very disappointing. He looked over at Tanya, who had a look of superiority, and then looked back at the paper. Tails couldn’t help but sigh deeply, place his right hand over his eyes and shake his head slowly.

“Tanya,” he began, “We can’t use this.”

Tanya looked over at Tails with a worried look on her face. “Why not? I think it looks good.”

Tails removed his hand from his face. “Well, Tanya, when designing something such as an airplane, you need to use blueprints.” Tails pulled out a drawer from the bench, and pulled out a blue piece of paper. He unfolded it by Tanya’s design. “This is a blueprint.”

Tanya studied the blueprint Tails set out for her. “Wow,” she said slowly, “that looks complicated. I mean, with all those lines and numbers, and—”

“That’s what it’s supposed to look like, Tanya,” Tails interrupted.

Tanya’s ears dropped as low as they could. “I-I’m sorry, Tails.” Tanya sighed deeply. “I knew I would mess this up.”

“Hey, cheer up!” Tails exclaimed happily.

Tanya looked over at Tails. Her eyes sparkled with sorrow. “I was never able to do anything right when it came to stuff like this.” She began to tear up. “At this rate I’ll never find my little brother.”

Tails put his hand on Tanya’s shoulder. “Tanya, what I learned from Sonic when I first met him was to never give up! I have my downs sometimes, but I always get back up on my feet! You’ll find your brother, and you know it!”

Tanya wiped the tears from her eyes. “Are you sure?”

“I know I’m sure!” Tails smiled at her. “I’ll even help look for your brother with you if it’ll help.”

Tanya’s sparkling eyes became full of joy. She couldn’t help but give Tails a big hug. “Oh thank you, Tails! How could I ever thank you for this?”

Tails chuckled. “Well you could just say ‘Thank you’!”

Tanya let go of him. She still smiled brightly. “Well then thank you! We’ll make a great search team!”

Tails chuckled a little bit more. “Well first we’re going to need to build your plane.” He pulled out another drawer and took out some blank blueprints. He unfolded one and set it on the workbench. He gave Tanya the pencil he had before. “Would you like to try and draw out the design? We can use my blueprints as a reference.”

Tanya took the pencil nervously. “Um, Tails?”

“Yeah?”

“W-would it be alright i-if we used those blueprints?”

Tails looked at her peculiarly. “But these are the blueprints for the Tornado. If we used these your plane would look exactly like how the Tornado looks now.”

Tanya looked disappointed. “W-well we could change a few things. We could make my plane so it could only seat one.” She picked up the blueprints. “We could—hey how come the Tornado has two engines?”

“I thought you couldn’t read blueprints?”

“I’m not an idiot, Tails.”

Tails rolled his eyes playfully. “Well the second one is a backup engine.”

“Oh! Well at first I was going to say my plane would only need one engine, but having a second one as a backup would—”

“Well the backup engine on the Tornado is powered by a Chaos Emerald. The second engine for your plane isn’t necessary since you will only be using it to look for your brother.”

“Alright then, we’ll just have one engine.” Tanya studied the blueprints. “Hey, Tails?” Tanya asked shyly.

“Yeah, what is it?”

“C-could I call my plane the Hurricane?”

“Sure. Call it whatever you want.”

“Okay.”

“Just out of curiosity, why Hurricane?”

Tanya set down the blueprints back on the workbench. “It was a hurricane that separated my brother and I apart.”

“Do you mind explaining me how that happened?”

Tanya exhaled deeply. “A tree slammed on my uh,” she looked at her twin tails, “tails, and I couldn’t move. My brother was petrified as he tried to get someone to help me. A woman took him to safety. She didn’t realize that my brother was trying to get my help. I was stuck under that tree until some man came and pulled me out. The man took me to safety as well, but I was far away from my brother.” Tanya paused for a moment so she wouldn’t tear up and cry. “So I thought if a hurricane tore us apart, then a hurricane would bring us back together.”

Tails looked at Tanya with sincerity. “I’m sorry that happened to you.” He patted Tanya on the back. “Tanya? What was your brother’s name? You don’t have to tell me. I just thought it would be helpful if I’m going to help look for him.”

Tanya looked over at Tails. “My brother’s name,” she paused, “is Miles.”

Tails’ eyes widened. “Miles?”

Tanya nodded. “Yup. Miles.”

“C-could I get your last name? You know, easier for the search.”

“Prower.”

Tails stood there speechless.

“Tails?”

Tails shook his head to get out of the trance he was in. “Sorry about that. I was just shocked.”

“Why? Do you know Miles?”

Tails exhaled deeply. “Tanya, you should know that—”

“Tails!” Sonic hollered as he slammed the door open. Both the foxes jumped. “Sorry to startle you two, but I need Tails for a moment!”

Tails looked a little relieved. “What’cha need, Sonic?”

“You know how to calm Morgan down, right?”

“Yeah, I’ve done it before. Why?”

“Well I need you to do it again. I think I really ticked her off.”

Tails sighed. “Well, alright.”

Chapter Six: He’s No Hero

Morgan was in the room she slept in when she passed out because of her past fight with Amy, in which seemed so long ago. She sat on the edge of the bed, struggling to get the sling out of her arm.

“Come on **** you!” she grunted every time she tugged.

There was a faint knock on the door.

Morgan groaned. “Just a second!” she yelled trying not to sound irritated. She gave the sling one last powerful tug. The sling shot immediately off, throwing Morgan back onto the bed. Her back fell directly on her damaged arm. She howled in pain and it seemed like the noise shook the entire mansion.

The door swung open and Sonic came rushing in, with Tails close behind. Sonic picked Morgan up from off the bed, and just let her hang in his arms. Tails examined Morgan’s hanging arm.

Sonic looked down at Morgan. “Hey, are you okay?” he asked calmly.

Morgan’s eyes were shut from feeling the pain in her arm. She weakly opened her eyes and met the blue blur’s eyes. She stared for a moment, and a fire began to build in her eyes.

“PUT ME DOWN, NOW!” she hollered right in his ears. She struggled to break free.

“You might as well do what she says, Sonic,” Tails said as he looked up at him. “She might give you a black eye.”

Sonic sighed as he gently set Morgan back down on the bed.

Morgan glared at him. “I prefer the floor.” She sat up and sat back down on the floor.

Tails looked over at Sonic. “What did you do to tick her off so badly?”

“He blew me off when he said he’d teach me the spin dash move of his,” Morgan answered.

Sonic tried to reply, but he didn’t want to get yelled at again. “See ya!” he ran out of the room.

Morgan’s eyes were in a wildfire. “SO NOW YOU JUST COMPLETELY LEAVE WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION?! SOME HERO YOU ARE!”

Tails gently grabbed Morgan by the shoulder. “Sonic can’t handle stress that much.”

Morgan turned her head around to look at Tails. “I don’t think he’s a hero.”

“Sonic is used to running when he gets yelled at.”

Morgan grumbled. “So why did you guys invade my privacy?”

“Sonic wanted me to talk to you. I think he wanted me to tell you that he’s not a bad guy.”

Morgan snickered. “So he needs someone else to say his words?”

“Well Sonic was expecting a similar reaction to what just happened thirty seconds ago.”

Morgan chuckled. “That’s what he gets for forgetting me.”

Tails scratched the back of his head as he walked in front of Morgan and sat down. “I will admit there are some occasions where Sonic will have his head way in the clouds,” he sighed, “however he always knows what’s right.”

“So you’re saying he forgot on purpose?”

“No.”

Morgan rolled her eyes and sighed deeply. “So why did he forget?”

Tails looked down at the floor. “I don’t think he forgot. The only explanation of why he didn’t show up is only a theory.”

“What’s the theory?”

“Well I think that Sonic isn’t used to the fact that there is someone who actually looks almost exactly like him.”

“What’s that got to do with anything?”

“Whenever the citizens of Station Square mistake you for Sonic, and they cheer his name out, it must go to his head or something.”

Morgan looked at Tails peculiarly. “Why can’t he just say that he didn’t do it and that someone else did?”

“He did.”

Morgan gasped. “How would you know? You weren’t there.”

Tails shook his head. “Sonic told me what happened. He said after a few minutes of getting swept away from the citizens, he told them that he needed to be somewhere at the time. Of course the people were so loud that nobody heard him; the people who did hear him kept telling him that he should stay longer.”

“So they didn’t let him go?”

Tails shook his head. “He also tried to say that he didn’t single-handedly defeat that robot, and that there was someone else helping him out.”

“What did they say then?” Morgan asked curiously.

“The ones who heard him said that they only saw one blue hedgehog.”

Morgan looked disappointed. “This is why I hate humans,” she mumbled.

“So you see, Morgan? Sonic isn’t a bad guy.”

Morgan snickered. “I’ll believe that when I truly see it.”

Tails sighed. “She just doesn’t get it!” he thought to himself.

“So, Tails, is there anything else you would like to say to me?”

Tails shook his head. “I don’t think so.” The two stood up. “I better get back to Tan—” Tails paused.

“Now what?” Morgan asked.

Tails looked at Morgan. “I think I’m Tanya’s younger brother.”

Morgan didn’t buy it. “But your name is ‘Tails’, not ‘Miles’.”

“Tails is only a nickname. My real name is Miles.”

“Have you told Tanya?”

“I almost did.”

“Why didn’t you?” Morgan sounded annoyed.

“Sonic interrupted me when he said I needed to talk to you.”

Morgan sighed. “For right now maybe it’s not a good idea to not tell her, until you get full proof that the two of you are related. Understand?”

Tails nodded. “Alright. I’ll do that.”

Morgan clapped her hands. “Great!” Morgan began to walk out the door. “I’m going out for a evening run.”

“What about your arm?”

Morgan looked at her left arm. She gritted her teeth. “I’ll be fine,” she said over-confidently. “I’ll be back in a couple hours.” Morgan ran out of the room, the mansion and then out of sight.

Woot for new chapter! =D

Morgan the Hedgehog - December 18, 2008 09:30 PM (GMT)
Alright Chapter Seven.

So now I'm still arguing over a title. I really need ideas at the moment, and right now I've decided that "The Chronicles of Morgan the Hedgehog" is going to be it's temporary name, okay?

So continuing to chapter seven. I kinda didn't expect this chapter to be so sappy *apologizes to male readers who love fights* I guess I just wanted to show the side of Morgan that not many people probably know.

Chapter Seven: All Effort Is Useless

As Morgan began to run past the city limits of Station Square, she began to slow down her pace. She sped up her pace even though she couldn’t see Station Square anymore. After many hours, she finally decreased her running until it was only a light jog, she spotted a grassy cliff that hovered significantly over the ocean. She stopped jogging and stared at the cliff.

“I must’ve been running towards the ocean,” she thought. She walked up the cliff, and stood on the edge as far as she could without losing her balance. She didn’t speak of anything. She just let her ears concentrate on the smooth crashing waves of the water once it hit the sandy beach. After a while, she slowly shook her head.

“Well I guess I’m not needed at Station Square. That blue bummer has it covered. Besides, it’s just like South City. Everybody there thinks I’m Sonic; everybody here also thinks I’m Sonic.” Morgan looked up at the descending sun. “Maybe I should just go into hiding even though I don’t need to. Or maybe I could sail to some uncharted island!” Morgan scowled at herself. “What in the world am I thinking? I need to be patient.” She scowled again. “Yeah right. Around here, I’m always going to be Sonic no matter how many times I scream it to the humans. All effort I even try is useless. My corrections always fall on deaf ears.”

Morgan looked down at the sandy beach. Her ears perked. She began to hear people speaking. She noticed a young couple holding hands and walking on the beach. She turned her head away and forced her eyes shut. She grunted in disgust. She began to hear another noise. She slowly opened her eyes and turned to where she heard the noise.

A young human child was on the beach with his family. He was making a sand castle with a dainty green pail. The child laughed with joy as he presented his castle to his mother and father. The child’s parents praised the child, and embraced him.

Morgan looked away and closed her eyes once again. Morgan wasn’t disgusted from the sight. She wasn’t feeling hatred either.

Morgan the Hedgehog was melancholy. She had never felt this sorrowful in a long time. She envied the child for having a family that when he got older, he could run home to whenever he felt like the world was against him. Morgan kept her eyes shut. She continuously tried to remember at least one event from her childhood. She tried to picture herself as a little kid. She tried to picture what her mother and father looked like.

Morgan opened her eyes. Her sapphire eyes sparkled wildly with depression. She couldn’t remember a thing. Morgan wanted to cry so badly, and yet something inside her held her back. Her eyes didn’t water, and she didn’t sniff as if she was going to cry.

“I want a family!” she pleaded in her head. “**** it, why must my life be like this? If I had a family, I wouldn’t be stuck here feeling sorry for myself! In fact if I had a family, I wouldn’t even have met any of the people I’ve met here!”
She started to grit her teeth, and scowl. “The only time I felt like I had a family was when I was around K-Mo! NOW BECAUSE OF THE HUMANS, HE’S DEAD!” she screamed in her head.

A strong gust of wind blew right through Morgan. It creatively shifted through her quills and soft fur as if it were embracing her. Morgan’s sensitive ears picked up a faint cooing noise. She immediately recognized the sound. She didn’t believe it.

“K-Mo?” she whispered faintly. The wind spun above her head. She heard the cooing again, followed by a playful roar. In a matter of seconds, the wind and noise was gone.

“Could that have been K-Mo?” she asked herself. “If that was him, was he trying to tell me something?”

Morgan’s ears perked once again. She heard breathing that wasn’t her. She felt a warm breath fly towards her neck. She turned her body from the waist up around. She gasped.

“Sonic,” she said quietly.
Sonic stood right behind her. He had an emotionless look on his face. He stared right into Morgan’s eyes. Morgan gulped silently.

“Everyone’s been worried about you,” he said with concern.

Morgan completely turned to face Sonic. “I said I’d be back in a couple hours.”

“You’ve been gone for more than a couple hours. You’ve been gone for over a day.”

“A day?” Morgan asked.

Sonic nodded. “A day. Do you realize I’ve been out since dawn looking for you?”
Morgan was shocked. “No.”

Sonic nodded once again. “Did you really just want to run away like that?”

“Sonic, I didn’t realize that I was so far away! I lost track of time!”

Sonic stood there as if he was frozen.

Morgan looked at him once again. “What?”

“You sound,” he paused for a long time, “different.” He paused again. “Something’s bothering you.”

Morgan’s mind flashed back to the sight of the young child. She shook her head slowly. “Nothing’s bothering me,” she lied.

“Okay.” Sonic knew she was lying, but he refused to argue with her.

Morgan looked at Sonic once again. Her sparkling blue eyes pierced right into Sonic’s green eyes. Morgan didn’t understand. There was something about Sonic that was different.

“Something’s bothering you,” she quoted.

“I’ve been worried. I might’ve lost a good friend.”

Morgan knew immediately after what Sonic said, that there was definitely something about him that Morgan didn’t see.

“Sonic,” she spoke quietly in her head.

“Morgan?” Sonic asked in concern.

Morgan couldn’t help herself. She lunged toward the blue blur, and tightly embraced him on impulse.

Sonic’s eyes widened, and he couldn’t help but slightly blush. This wasn’t something that he was expecting to happen. He allowed Morgan to keep in the embrace for a while. After a couple seconds, he couldn’t help but put his right arm around her.

“We need to get home,” he said quietly in Morgan’s ear.

Morgan moaned a little bit as she finally let go of Sonic. “Okay,” she mumbled. She couldn’t help but yawn.

“You haven’t slept, have you?”

“I have!” she said through another big yawn.

Sonic shook his head. “Don’t lie.”

“Fine! I didn’t! But what do you expect me to do now?”

Sonic turned his back to her and crouched down. “Get on my back. I’ll carry you home.”

Morgan wanted to refuse. However with how tired she was and the fact that she just hugged Sonic made her accept the demand, and slowly got up on Sonic’s back. Sonic stood up and held Morgan up so she wouldn’t fall.

“I guess I could start out slow.” Sonic said as he started walking.

Morgan planted her head on Sonic’s right shoulder. Her head tilted to the left, using Sonic’s head as a pillow. Morgan slowly closed her eyes.

“Sonic?” she mumbled.

“Yeah?” Sonic replied.

“If you ever tell anybody about this, I’ll kill you.” After she spoke, she immediately fell asleep.

That's cool using that title for now

lol,you said you possibly wouldn't use it XD

Zeero - December 19, 2008 12:55 AM (GMT)
Emm...yeah, that's great chapter. And about the last line...XD

Morgan the Hedgehog - January 7, 2009 10:38 PM (GMT)
Sorry for the delay on this chapter.

Oh and by the way, there may be a full title! What do you think of "Innocence?"

Chapter Eight: Innocent

Sonic stepped into the mansion as evening took its first glance at the day. Morgan still slept soundly on his back. He looked around the living room at his friends spread out around the large curved sofa. He noticed Tails and Tanya were missing.

“They must be working on that plane Tanya keeps boasting about,” he thought as he walked closer to his friends. “Hey, everyone, look who I found!” he cheered.

Terra and Cream jerked their heads towards the blue blur. “Morgan!” they cheered as they spot the sleeping look-a-like.

Amy turned her head a bit, thinking the two were joking. As she spotted Morgan, she groaned and turned her head back towards the blank television screen.

“How did you find her?” Terra asked.

Sonic chuckled a bit. “She was far away, I will admit. She struggled with me for a while, but then she got so tired, she collapsed!” Sonic was stretching the truth a little bit for Morgan’s sake (and that Morgan did threaten to kill him if he said anything).

“We should let her rest for good,” Amy mumbled terribly so nobody could understand her.

“Morgan must really need sleep. We should let her rest in her room,” Cream suggested.

Sonic nodded. “Sounds good.” Sonic walked at a faster pace up to Morgan’s room. Once he got there, he opened the door with his left hand (his right was keeping Morgan up), and pushed the door open. He walked a little faster when getting towards the twin-size bed. Once he got there, he gently dropped Morgan down on the soft mattress.

Morgan didn’t wake up at all. Sonic looked at Morgan for a moment, and then ran out of the room at a slower pace than he usually runs. The faint wind from Sonic’s running blew through Morgan’s fur. She shivered a bit, and ended up waking up.

She stood straight up. “Where am I? What happened?” She scanned the room frantically. She noticed the familiar furniture sitting on the familiar carpet. She also saw the familiar spotless mirror that hung from the wall. She leaped off the bed and looked out the open window. She saw the same beautiful garden filled with different flowers and interesting plants. She looked further out, and she saw the same ocean that she wishes to swim in some day. She exhaled in relief. “I’m back at the mansion in Station Square.” She sounded disgusted when she said Station Square.

Her ears twitched from the noise of something or someone flying through the air. She stuck her head out the window and looked back-and-forth anxiously.

“Okay,” she stated, “who’s here? I can hear you flying!”

Rouge flew up by Morgan. She was face-to-face with her. “Hello, Morgan!”

“AAH!” Morgan shouted as she fell backwards into the carpet in the room.

Rouge laughed uncontrollably as she invited herself into the room. “A little surprised there, weren’t you?”

Morgan grumbled a bit. “What’s up, Rouge?”

Rouge’s laughter turned into a flirting laugh. “Well I was still wondering if Sonic really wasn’t your type anymore?”

Morgan stood up. “Why?”

Rouge still laughed a bit. “Well I mean with that last little performance with the two of you that occurred an hour ago…”

“YOU SAW THAT?!” Morgan shouted.

Rouge stepped back. “Of course I saw that. No need to yell.” Morgan didn’t speak. “As I was saying, that giant hug you gave him really got me thinking that you might’ve been lying to me the last time we met.”

“I never lie to you, Rouge.”

“Then maybe you have a little crush on Sonic?” she winked at Morgan.

Morgan clenched her fist. “You really think that I would have a crush on that moron?”

Rouge nodded. “Hun, I can read you like a book. You are growing a little soft spot for that blue hedgehog.”

Morgan faked a laugh. “I was tired. I’m always delirious whenever I’m incredibly tired.”

“Alright, now you’re in denial.”

Morgan crossed her arms. “I am not in denial!” Morgan’s voice raised an octave. She cleared her throat. “Besides,” her voice was normal now, “what gave you the right to spy on me?”

“That’s been a temporary assignment for me since you ran off from G.U.N. over a year ago.”

Morgan gulped. “They’re still after me?”

Rouge nodded. “They wanted me to seek you out, capture you and take you back to G.U.N. headquarters.”

“But you know I’m here. Why haven’t you-”

“Because, Morgan, I know you’re innocent,” Rouge interrupted. “I’ve just been telling my boss that I haven’t seen you yet.”

“He’s going to figure it out eventually that you’re hiding me. I don’t want you in trouble.”

“I’d rather hide you than give you a death penalty.” Morgan kept silent. “Besides,” Rouge continued. “I saw what happened. What occurred a year ago with the Mecha Komodo project was not any of your fault.”

“I know, I know.” She looked down. “Those **** humans won’t listen to a word I say.”

Rouge grinned. “To change the subject, I hear your hedgie coming upstairs to check on you. I’ll see you ‘round, Morgan!” Rouge flapped her wings and took off into the air.

Morgan grumbled. “G.U.N. is still after me. I knew they wouldn’t give up.” Morgan finally heard footsteps approaching the door. “And Rouge really needs to realize that I hate Sonic,” she thought as the door opened.

Sonic looked right at Morgan. “You’re awake?”

Morgan nodded. “No duh I am.” She scowled.

“I was just expecting you to be asleep longer.”

“So why did you barge into my room?” she raised her voice.

“I came in to check up on you. How long were you awake?”

“I’ve been awake long enough to take off again.”

Sonic chuckled. “Well it’s a good thing you didn’t.”

Morgan looked at Sonic peculiarly. “Why?”

“Eggman is on the attack again. I’d really like some assistance from you again.”

Morgan grinned in self-confidence. “Well it’s about time I get some recognition!” She jumped out the window and landed on the soft grass. “What are you waiting for?” Morgan called out. “The city could be ashes by now!” She ran off into the city. Sonic copied Morgan’s exact moves and ran after her.
